Minerva & Duck do Disney

I wrote a thing for @ducknerva-rights day! Someone a million years ago asked for Minerva at Disney World, and…..y’all know me. I can’t help myself. So here’s Duck and Minerva at the Magic Kingdom with Jane and Jane’s kids from my fic the war is over (and we are beginning). 

(I, uh, didn’t edit this, and it’s very silly and self-indulgent) 

 "So tell me again about this kingdom that we’re visiting, Wayne Newton,“ Minerva said, squinting at the highway signs as they sped toward Orlando. "Will we need our passports?" 

"Nah, it’s not actually another country,” Duck said, adjusting his rearview mirror against the glare. “It’s like- do you remember when we flew outta Baltimore, how we drove by that Six Flags? I pointed out all the roller coasters to you?" 

"The place with the metal structures?" 

"Yeah. This is like that, but… more." 

"I suppose the magic isn’t real, either?” Duck snorted. 

“Not quite."

In honor of The Weekend that Would Have Been Wondercon, here is my Duck Newton cosplay! I gave up on making Beacon when the con was cancelled, but I might go out and take some more pictures once I find the time to finish the prop. I’m still pretty happy with how the costume turned out, though! 

Forgive some of the weird angles in the pictures– social distancing meant I had to get creative with what I could do with my iPhone tripod on my own, and I am nowhere near a photographer!
