My girl. She’s funny and smart, kind and sassy. She makes me laugh and also makes me crazy. I’m so proud of the person she’s growing up to be. She’ll be eleven in less than a month. I can’t wait to see what her future holds.

Snuggle Bubs.

Both bitchy, but providing us with lots of eggs!
Birthday party # 10!
Vacation 2019 in the books ☀️🌊🌴👙
We’re in full on summer mode over here!
I’ve even made a specific point of cutting back on orders for the next few months so we have more time to play. It’s so hard turning away orders, but taking a little bit of a break sure is nice!
About three years ago, I posted a quick update that said “We’re getting a puppy tomorrow!” And then I never mentioned it again. 😂
This is Baxter. Sir Baxter Buddy, actually.
He’s really cute. But also? He’s kind of an asshole.
What’s the saying? God doesn’t give with both hands. So there you go.
So proud of this girl, she had a great year! Just 1 1/2 more school days then we’re ready for summer!!!
“She’s like a second chance for me. I was widowed very young. My husband died in a car crash. Our daughter was only six at the time, and I barely got to see her because I was always working. She was mainly raised by my mother. I remember on the weekends she always wanted to go to the cinema, but I’d suggest other activities because it was our only chance to talk. But things are different with my granddaughter. I have all the time in the world. I can focus on her completely. She lives in another town, but she visits once a week and we spend the whole day together. I look forward to it all week. I prepare her favorite foods, mostly cheeseburgers because she loves cheeseburgers. We go on walks. And we sit in the park. And we paint a lot. And we read books. This morning we played hide-and-seek in the apartment. Her head was always sticking out, but I pretended not to notice.” (Barcelona, Spain)
It’s been almost a month now, but I’m still having a difficult time accepting the fact that we have a nine year old.
I got a new phone last year and forgot to download the tumblr app until about 2 months ago. I just figured out my login information yesterday.
What I’m saying is I’m back!
Still dumb, still happy.
Still very unlikely to post regularly but will continue to have high hopes...
I just wrote a really long post about A and her birthday and all the best things about her and then my phone unexpectedly shut down Tumblr before I could post or save it. So screw it, here's a picture of her looking sleepy but still beautiful. Maybe I'll redo it later but now I'm annoyed.
I will never, ever get tired of him dancing.
I feel like summer has hardly even started and yet it's been so full already! So much more fun to come, but these are a quick glimpse of the past couple weeks...
We went to Dinosaur Valley and it was so pretty it made me want to start adventuring more! I can't wait to see more pretty things/places with Addison! *i just now decided adventures can also happen indoors. In air conditioning. Especially if it's the middle of summer. Maybe an adventure in a museum. Or a mall. Malls have pretty things to see, too.. I dunno I'm still working out the details....
I was ambushed today when I walked into the gym. I went in mentally prepared to do some cardio. But instead I was dragged into GoldsFit, which I'm sure you can figure out is their version of cross fit. I think. Personally, it's my version of hell. But whatever. I mean...I guess it wasn't THAT bad. But only because there was no running today and minimal burpees. So anyway. No point to this. Just would like to make note that I didn't die. The next two weeks might kill me though! 600 count cookie order coming up, so we'll see!
We went to California for spring break!
