Every Giggle is Another Brain Cell Gone
Sophie didn’t notice the changes at first.
It started small:
"You’d look prettier if you smiled more."
"That skirt shows off your legs so well."
"Why do you hide your body under all those boring clothes?"
She’d laugh, blush, maybe roll her eyes. But she kept the skirt. Smiled a little more. It felt good to be noticed.
Her friends pushed her further: low-cut tops “for girls’ night,” teasing her into letting them do her makeup. “Just try it, Sophie—don’t be such a prude.”
She told herself it was harmless. But soon, the books vanished from her bag, replaced with lip gloss and perfume. Her lectures went unwatched. Instead, she learned how to pout her lips, tilt her head, and bat her lashes for approval.
"God, you’re sexy when you’re quiet," he whispered once, his hand gripping her thigh. She giggled. She didn’t even mean to.
And just like that, it got easier. The push-up bra. The blonde highlights. The way her voice lifted without her even noticing. Compliments drowned out the protests in her head.
Now, Sophie’s tits look amazing in her tight little dresses. She spends hours perfecting her makeup, her selfies, her body. She can’t remember the last time she read anything that wasn’t a text.
When she scrolls past an old picture of herself—serious, plain, glasses—she actually laughs. That girl looks so uptight. So sad.
Sophie’s gone now.
She doesn’t miss her.
