people voting that third option confuses me because cop is already romance centric. lol, like the romance is a key plot point in the story it’s not there for decoration… it’s just as important as the murders being solved because it’s through MC and Trystan’s relationship that we actually get their character development. their work is what brings them together obviously but without them getting closer we wouldn’t have had either character development (MC getting softer, being more trusting, relying on her team— Trystan letting go of the “spoiled superficial princess and party animal” persona and revealing her past and burdens) like the story is the romance. not wanting them to be together is also funny because this is a visual novel?!;$;& why even play at this point😭

personally i think it’s too soon, they’ve only just confessed that they loved each other so im not crazy about that proposal idea especially with book 3 on the way. im not opposed to having a wedding book but it’d have to be after book 3, like after our questions have been answered and the main story’s been wrapped up. i also wouldn’t mind if there wasnt any wedding at all because not all relationships end in marriage and thats fine by me

relationship dynamic: trystan being the type to always take pictures of them with rose (dates they go on, them doing nothing at home, candids of rose reading or writing reports because “you’re so cute when you’re focused”) vs rose not knowing how to not smile awkwardly whenever trystan wants a picture so they go “i love you” unexpectedly which immediately gets a genuine smile from rose just as they take the pic

okay i officially finished the CoP finale… so, so many thoughts about it but for now i’ll just ride that blissful high of my babies being in love and happy with no impending doom looming over their heads for once.

very happy i got my love confession it was so cuteee!!!! and the parallels with trystan introducing us to juliana like mc introduced them to their dad was deeply appreciated on my part. all in all i very much enjoyed this chapter

i have so many thoughts about CoP because im unable to enjoy anything moderately but for now let’s focus on the thought that trystan most likely didn’t have a meaningful relationship after juliana… they were 22 when they got exiled and even tho they’re known as a “party animal” in book 1 i dont think they’ve ever had an actual meaningful relationship in america until the mc came along and thats why they said them falling in love with mc was scaring the shit out of them in book 1…..

and there’s so many things i can add to that but i’ll just say it makes the whole “we’re from different worlds” thing so much sadder cause the moment they finally grow as a person and allow themself to let another person in after the trauma they went through, that happiness gets taken away from them. actually sickening.

it’s not like they can just relinquish the throne to be with mc because because it would clash with the growth we see in them during this book. and though we see them hesitate a lot we also see them want to be a good leader for their country (ie, “there will be no death penalty in my drakovia”) oh i feel sickkk

i was expecting real bloodshed this chapter but i’m lowkey disappointed nothing bad happened to either mc or trystan like it definitely doesn’t live up to the stabbing in book 1🫤 i thought mc would get shot maybe with how vasili was twirling that gun around but ugh. the thornes are supposed to be soo dangerous and cunning but i didn’t see any of that in chap 15💔

i KNEWWWW it was him since chapter 6 man… before the secret lover thing was even revealed i knew it was Vasili it was so obvious that he wanted the act to pass using sympathy votes just like the mc accused Sebastyan of doing when they suspected he killed Nadja. i don’t know why they never followed that train of thought with VASILI who was closest to Bas omg.
