Sakura-Con 2017 Tali’Zorah Cosplay mega post! Here are all of my favorite photos I have found so far of my Tali’Zorah cosplay that I wore to Sakura-Con 2017 so far. I had a lot of fun wearing this costume and meeting other Mass Effect fans!
For more photos of my Tali’Zorah costume or for progress pictures check out my Facebook Page! Costume is 100% made by me.

As I promised many moons ago here is an update on my Tali'Zorah costume. It's been a long year and a half working towards this costume but I'm finally almost done. This is the hardest project I have ever done but Just a few more final touches to make tomorrow and my Tali'Zorah will be officially complete (with only 16 days exactly to spare). I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped pick me up when I was down and supported me through the hardships of this costume. I will have real photos after Sakura convention in a couple of weeks and wish me luck at the costume contest! If you want to see some of my progress photos (Since I did pretty much everything by hand) or see some of the other special effects of my costume such as the voice activated lighting in the mask check out my facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/duoqcosplay/)
First costume of 2017 is complete! Usually I bring 3 costumes to Sakura Convention in April but this year since Tali is so difficult I will be wearing Dr. Angela "Mercy" Zeigler on Friday, Tali'Zorah on Saturday and possibly casual commander Shepard on Sunday if I'm not exhausted. Tali's costume kicked my butt this year but I am so close to being done and I know it will be worth it.
Happy New Year! Here is every costume from 2016! I made 8 costumes this year which isn't too bad I think. I learned a little bit from each one and I'm excited for my costume plans for 2017! I can't wait to share some of them with you! My new years resolution for 2017 is to make more costumes than in 2016 so I will be hopefully making at least 9 costumes this year.
I am slowly finding more photos of my Commander Shepard from Geekgirlcon 2016. I don't have an official photo shoot scheduled yet for my femshep armor but that's okay because after wearing it to a con and seeing photos of it I am seeing a lot of things that I want to fix! For example I want to fix the neck piece re-rig the shoulders so they sit a little more comfortably and fix how some of the pieces are molded now that I have a better heat gun. I want to do a cool sci-fi photo shoot but I dont know where to go. Anyone have any location suggestions?
Makeup and wig test for Raven! I will be wearing this for Emerald City Comic-Con this upcoming year on Friday of the con!
For my Halloween party I quick threw together a Daenerys Targaryen Qarth dress costume. I am the mother of Dragons this Halloween , bearded dragons that is, I have two bearded dragons. The one in the photo is named Lloyd.
Thanks to the awesome Lee Shanks - Cosplay & Cie for doing this edit of my casual Shepard! I look forward to working with them in the future once I have an official photo shoot of my Mass Effect costumes.
I should go. I SHOULD go. I should go? I should go. More Commander Shepard Makeup tests! Just for the record I do not have any freckles or natural red hair!
If anyone is at Geek Girl Con come check out Kat at the cosplay contest at four today to cheer her on! She is wearing her new Fem Commander Shepherd outfit!
More Shepard spam sorry guys! I finished my casual Commander Shepard outfit that I made for just a fun side project. I will probably wear it in the evenings at conventions when I am too tired from wearing full armor or complicated costumes all day. Overall it was fun to make!
A few weeks ago I posted my female commander Shepard cosplay makeup test that a lot of people gave me supportive feedback on so I thought I would post an update! There are still a few little details to iron out (mostly how the shoulder armor attaches so it lays nice even with movement) but other than that I am almost done! If you want to see more of my progress pictures on the armor you can look at my facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/duoqcosplay/) this is my first "full" armor cosplay so I am sure later down the road I will fix somethings up more but overall I am happy with how things are turning out. I will be doing a full body photo shoot in early October with this costume so stay tuned for some better quality photos.
Excuse the crappy mirror selfie but I am so excited for my first fitting of my n7 armor! As of tonight all armor is complete! Now I just have to figure out what is the best way to rig it to wear which as you can see in the photo I am struggling with all the neck area/shoulder armor rigging. Not to worry that is what test fittings are for! Which is why I highly recommend to all cosplayers trying everything on before a convention and try walking around your house with it all on to see how your costume holds up with movement.
