How Nirvana is tied to VIAL (and similar bands like Pinkshift)

What’s VIAL?? How dare you. VIAL is like my second favorite band of all time. They are an all-female, all-queer punk band consisting of Katie Fischer, Taylor Kraemer, and KT Branscom. Now I say they are a “punk” band but they really apart of a very small genre called “riot grrrl”. A pro-feminism-VERY-rage-induced hard punk rock genre. riot grrrl is a genre that’s been around since the 90s but has only really came out a couple years ago. And one of the lead pioneers of riot grrrl?? TOBI FUCKING VAIL. A rock goddess who was partially involved with the Melvins, a Seattle punk band. Who was also partially involved with the Melvins, a Seattle punk band? Kurt Cobain!!

I could yap for years more about Pinkshift, and Destroy Boys, Diva Bleach, but I won’t. You should listen to all of these bands. I could make an Apple Music playlist if y’all would like that??

I forgot two very important details: A) Tobi Vail literally dated Kurt Cobain multiple songs are based off her (such as About a Girl, and Smells Like Teen Spirit) B) Courtney Love (Kurt Cobain's wife) is literally the face of riot grrrl. I think I'm stupid smh
