Hunter: It was a mistake i apologized for, and you seemed to look past it, from that moment on. So don't use that as an excuse to end whatever relationship with have, whether it be sexual or romantic. I'm barely out. Here, i can be and do as i please, I can be that person i want, and it's easier having that, when it's something casual. So, yes, of course I was going to be cold and dry whenever the conversation took a turn down a path of us being something more than friends, who more then occasionally hooked up, but for future reference, I did like you. That's what it is, Dustin. Something - someone better.

Hunter: Yes, it's one of those times,

Dustin: I did look past it but it still made me insecure about us. It was hard to tell whether you wanted something real or not or if you'd ever open up to me. I'm sorry, okay? I already apologized. I know I shouldn't have. And it's not about him being better. I never compared the two of us.

Dustin: Don't be a dick, Hunter. We're still friends.

Rowan smiled at the other boy. He always did try his best to make sure that he looked good for a date, but there was something about Dustin that he wanted to prove. “That’s you look amazing too.” he stated brushing his fingers through his hair. Rowan took the flowers and chocolate from Dustin and blushed a little bit. “Don’t worry about it, it’s really nice of you to think about that. I’m guess this is your first real date?” 

Dustin couldn’t help but blush at the comment and he hesitated a moment before nodding in response to the question. He hadn't actually thought about how this would be his first real date and now he felt even more nervous. “It is, so you better make it a great one or you’ll scar me for life.” he joked. “Are we taking a ride on your motorcycle? Because I don't have a helmet. I thought about buying one but I thought maybe that would come off a little crazy.”

Hunter: I was nice sometimes, when i wanted to be? I was nice enough for you to have me ask you out on a date. Excuse me? the proposal that was made way before the idea of a date was thrown into the conversation, so don't you dare use that as an excuse to make yourself feel better, because I apologized for that. You cut me loose. You were happy enough to turn our arrangement into something more, only to cut me loose when something or someone you believed was better came along.

Hunter: doesn't sound awkward, simply sounds like a horrific date.

Dustin: I know it happened before we agreed to go on a date but lets be honest here, Hunter. You never seemed that into me, at least not romantically. You were cold and dry whenever I tried to turn our conversations into something more couple-like. And I didn't cut you loose! It's not about one being better than the other! Don't say that!

Dustin: I can never tell when you're being sarcastic. Is this one of those times?

Hunter: Why would i be mad? disappointed maybe, but I have no reason to be mad. You're also one of the only friends I have around here, and losing that would be rather unfortunate. Don't mistake feelings for sex. We hook up, that's all it's ever really been. It wouldn't be fair to either of us. And so you made a choice to cut me loose.

Hunter: So. what was this date like?

Dustin: Yeah, I know it was just sex but you were nice sometimes, when you wanted to be. I guess I was a little thrown off by the whole threesome proposal and whatnot, but I'm glad we can be friends now. And I didn't cut you loose, don't put it like that.

Dustin: It was great. I'm not gonna go into detail with you, that'd be awkward.

Hunter: Well, it seems like that date has officially been cancelled. Have fun, with whoever your little heart desires.

Dustin: You're not mad, are you? I like you. You're one of my only friends around here and I don't wanna lose you. And it's not like I don't have any feelings for you but I don't know if it'd be fair to either of you to.

Dustin: I actually don't know where I was going with that, but I hope you don't hate me.

Hunter: You went on a date with a guy, and you think you like him. Why would i hate you, Dustin?

Dustin: Because we're supposed to go on a date, remember?

Rowan did not know how this happened, he was talking about one thing and the next thing he was being asked out. Rowan hadn’t expected that but he didn’t mind it at all. They had talked about it for so long that when it came to the actualy thing Rowan started panicking. He hadn’t been on a date with anyone since he had split with Marley a while back. It was just a nice thing to have. Signing to himself, Rowan fixed the neckline of his jean jacket before hearing the knock. His heart was racing but he smiled softly before opening the door. “Hi,”

Dustin felt the air get sucked out of his lungs at the sight of his date in front of him and he couldn’t remember any of the lines he rehearsed in the mirror. “I, wow. You look great.” he managed to say after a couple seconds of silence. Suddenly he remembered the items he brought with him so he handed them to Rowan “Here. I didn’t know what was the protocol here, I’ve never been on a gay date, but I went out with a girl back when I was in the closet and the flowers and chocolate were big successes.”

Dustin: I went on a date with a guy and I think I like him and please don't hate me, please.

Dustin did not plan on asking Rowan out when they first met. It was never supposed to happen. No matter how attractive the man was, but they clicked. They clicked in a way he didn’t expect to and he knew he would hate himself if he didn’t take a chance on whatever this was and he was lucky enough that the other accepted it. Now he was at Rowan’s doorstep holding a bouquet and a box of chocolates because he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to bring to a first date and coming empty handed seemed wrong. He held the flowers and the chocolates in one arm and knocked on the door twice with his left one.

I decided to take a break for the weekend and give myself a little R&R. Really? What kind of part would I be getting? I don’t think I can say no even if I am playing a tree.

What’s R&R again? I can’t keep up with the youth’s lingo. You could play the dead girl's boyfriend. He only has one scene and the guy who was supposed to play him bailed on me. But I like the tree idea, you’d make a very cute tree.

I used to be an ass once so maybe I’m just being nice for now because I’m a changed man. I don’t know people are stupid. This is true. I used to love so many when I was a kid. I mean Zac Efron was my childhood. Leo is totally a dad look and even though I’m not attracted to him I can see your point. Maybe I will. Okay good. I don’t know. I’ll surprise you and you’ll like it. I think we could range that because I have nothing better to do.

I still wouldn’t mind seeing a glimpse of that ass (pun intended) side. You were probably a very hot bad boy. Zac Efron got really hot at some point but now his muscles are out of control, I’d probably hurt myself trying to have sex with him. I bet I'll like it; So you’re only going out with me because you have nothing better to do?
