I cannot give you the world But I can give you a piece of mine And I know it's not filled with all that you desire but you can find beauty in the gardens of my mind It's messy, and sometimes unpleasant And feel free to leave anytime I won't cage you and keep you locked up when you're meant to fly But please consider all the flowers in my thoughts and not focus on the weeds that try to consume me You are more than just a passing time, And if you take a second to explore all the lovely bits and gory ones too You might find yourself wandering and falling deeper into the garden as I have for you Because your mind attracts me more than your body ever could And while I'm just a garden, You're a forest Though you cannot give me the world, I still find myself overwhelmed by all you are And what is to come if I fall for every tree of yours but really it's the roots I am after And to see your roots and get down to your core To know your heart, is what I care for I know some of your trees might have fallen and I know there are those that never heard or cared to listen But I feel the life in you Even when it feels like parts of you have disappeared I want to remind you of who you are And I can't say I know what you've been through But I will stay for every fallen leaf and tell you You're still a forest Even though to yourself you're just ordinary woods
