A quick sketch and colour experimenting with the Loomis method for drawing heads. I think it definitely helps but I need a hell of a lot of practice to adapt for better likenesses. This was inspired by Aaron Paul in El Camino - a much better film than this is a drawing of him. As if planning a wedding wasn’t a big enough task, I decided to illustrate and hand print six 4 colour table cards representing the places of significant for the two of us. Managed to fit the blue, grey, copper (and fourth colour either black or white) palette to all six illos- a real lesson in simplifying design. Each design depicts both of us - Liverpool and Copenhagen are probably favourites because they are so close to the actual memory 💕. Love the blue to copper gradient too! Reasonable success in testing a hand drawn and cutout #screenprint technique. Learnt I can easily use the finest markers - was too conservative on this test worried it wouldn’t work. Will have to think of a better method for registration for the real thing (although I never mind quirky mis-registered prints) 😜 • #printing #printmaking #illustration
