DX FM In Montreal

Here in Montreal it’s pretty hard to DX on the FM band. Reason behind that is, the FM band is full. There are no open frequencies. The few bad FM frequencies that can’t be used for local stations are able to bring in some out of market stations.

Parts of Montreal can catch CHEZ-FM 106.1 which is a rock station from Ottawa.

Other then that its hard to DX the FM band. Frequencies in Montreal are so close together that you will just hear local radio come in bad quality on near by frequencies.

1190 AM?

I am from Montreal Quebec Canada, I been flipping through the AM radio band and came across 1190 AM. It was airing talk and music in Spanish. If any DXERs in Montreal and surrounding areas ever come across 1190 AM and hear Spanish programming please let me know where the station is from.

Been listening for 15 min and have yet to hear the station ID’s. Its all been music but audio goes in and out. Been listening on a BOSE radio which can catch FM radio stations from 1 hour away. It is better then most radios. This could be a close signal or a distant signal. Wish I knew so I could listen, online as they play good music.
