sometimes i forget that the marvel universe is actually fictional
ericbrandonrp:
The glass that had just been raised to his lips was lowered again, the alcohol he had just sipped from it was halfway running down his chin as the thief tried to keep it in his mouth - and to not spit it out again. That guy just had to be joking.
How else was he able to laugh about something, and then admit that he had killed the president? Which president? The president of some fanclub, surely. “You–You what??” Eric pressed out, his hand rising to wipe the alcohol from his chin.
Erik kept his straight faced- more or less he was serious as he stared at the guy across from him. “Just what I said.” he replied simply, evenly. “Although I didn’t really do it.”
Shaking his head a little bit he emptied his drink and then lowered his eyes. “You don’t believe me.”
Now It Starts

He was his brother. But still he didn’t know if he could trust him on that, if he was telling the truth or just wanted him to be on the safe side. The thief hesitated as he took the glass again and stared into the liquid.
“It’s just that…what you said earlier,” he began, looking back up at his brother. “That it’s not safe with you. I don’t wanna wake up and find you gone. I couldn’t handle it.”
He sighed a little because ti was an understandable fear. It was a reasonable thing to hope against. Erik wasn’t sure if anything like what happened today was going to be safe for his brother but if he was intent on staying around...
“There will be a time when you will have to let me go.”

♔—- Watching Erik with a slight quirk to his brow, he remained silent for a moment. Erik’s express returned to the one he had been wearing earlier for a brief moment, and although Erik insisted Loki was looking too far into things, Loki doubted the truth behind such a statement. Then again, perhaps it was nothing more than wishful thinking? Loki’s subconscious making him see things that weren’t really there.
“I’m not sure confessing to zoning out is much better,” he finally said, sighing softly as he dropped his gaze back to the pages in his hand. “I was saying that we have a surprising influx of parties interested in Genosha, and we need to figure out a way to handle it all… But it’s late, and clearly we’re not making much more progress, so maybe we should hold off the rest of this planning?” ‘And talk about why you were staring at me…’
When Loki began speaking again, looking at his pages of work Erik’s eyes drifted back to Loki’s face, hair falling slightly in his face before he nodded some to the offer of waiting until later to finish up what was being planned. he could live with that- maybe he could be on his own and forget that this was even a conversation.
“Yeah...sure...we can do this another time.” he added with a nod of his head and a clearing of his throat. Reaching over he took the papers, eyes trying to avert from Loki. “That’s just fine.”
Time will pass; these moods will pass; and I will, eventually, be myself again.

Well, to be fair, an alliance of sorts had been struck. He needed her help, she needed his, so yes, they had basically established a weird sort of work-based, temporary alliance. Yes, temporary. The sooner she was done with this, the better. She’d aided a fugitive for christ’s sake! If SHIELD caught on, if they figured out what she’d done, she’d end up shit’s creek without a bloody paddle! She wasn’t willing to go down for this man, kidnapped children or no.
Wynter nodded a bit, grabbing the box before settling down on the sofa. The lid came of and the files came floating out, thanks to a whisper of her magic, the folders situating themselves on her coffee table. “Well, that’s to be expected…there was a lot to take.” she murmured, glancing up at him.
“Well? planning to help or not?” she asked, studying the man. He hadn’t moved, still stood there as if waiting for an invitation. These were his kids, after all, he couldn’t expect her to do all of the work, especially if he wasn’t paying her for her time.
Besides that, there really was a mountain of paperwork to go through, more than she could do by herself, or at least in any sort of timely fashion.
“I’ll start with these.” Wynter muttered, selecting about half of the files in the stack, leaving the rest for her guest.
He was tired, at least that’s what he told himself and maybe that was why he hadn’t moved towards Wynter and joined in looking over the files that she had taken out. Files that contained information about his children, Wanda and Pietro.
Truth was he didn’t know the point of going to look for them right then. They would be happy to get out but they would not enjoy him being the one to get them out.
They could get to that mountain when they got there.
Sighing he moved to sit beside her and leaned back in the couch, flipping through the files before meeting her eyes.
“Have you found anything? Maybe a spell or something of yours that would explain who the hell wrote these?” Stupid question but interesting enough maybe some kind of DNA spell that would give her a clue as to what was going on behind the scenes of SHIELD and Hydra.

♔—- “Erik, please, you’d look far too amazing if you dressed exactly like me, and I’m not going to be responsible for unleashing that upon the world.” He wasn’t wearing anything other than nice, form fitting jeans, and a sweater. It was about as casual as he got. “I’m the nicest person you’ve met? Oh, I find that difficult to believe. But the fact of the matter is, I’m not related to any of them. Not by blood.” He smiled, though it was much more sincere this time around. “Your control over magnetism is impressive, extremely impressive. You’re about as close to God status as any Midgardian could be.”
He was going to say something in turn but he was cut off when Loki started speaking of god status. He just stared at Loki with surprise written there in his eyes. Was he serious? “You really just told me that I just about have reached god status.” he stated, reaching over carefully and lightly touching his hand to Loki’s arm. “Loki, you shouldn’t say things like that unless you completely mean it.”

She couldn’t remember a time when words had meant something to her, if there had ever been one. At some point they’d become obsolete & hollow, less than effective when it came to expressing something. Actions weren’t confused as often it was true but there was still the matter of intent. Why he felt the need to ask was a question she’d rather not consider. ❝Depends on the action. Gratitude always feels like there’s strings attached & those can get tangled very easily.❞
He gave a nod because it was somewhat understandable but still he glanced away to take a short breath, glanced away. “You think we would get tangled because of something like gratitude?”
disillusionedhumanity:
She would have preferred blaming it on the lateness than anything she’d said or done, forcing her discomfort not to be too apparent. Pulling her hand away would be too revealing but she felt the need to distance herself from him suddenly from a discussion she wasn’t sure that she wanted to have. Comfort or peace was not something she’d ever made someone feel——or if she had she couldn’t remember doing it. ❝Why? I haven’t done anything.❞
“no-” he began with a small shake of his head, eyes going over her. He wondered if she felt anything right then and there. If she knew the magnitude of what he was feeling right then. “-I guess you haven’t...or maybe you just don’t know.”
Far from any road
the-storm-within-me:
“Not much a question of liking it or not,” she commented nonchalantly, taking another sip of coffee. “It´s where I was born and raised. You always feel a bond to your birthplace, no matter if it´s a nice corner of the earth or an ugly one.” But quite frankly, she did like this area though she knew it was not everybody´s taste. The heat, the insects, the gators. People with customs that unsettled strangers. “Generally speaking, yes, I like it.”
Not much of a talker, this one. Fine with her. There was a reason why they had been teamed up, and the captain, the one mainly responsible for deciding it, was someone Nika took for a capable man, someone in whose decisions she trusted.
“Somehow calming these endless road, aren´t they,” she mumbled, turning the air condition up a little, “make you feel like you´re on a road trip, not on your way to a murder.” Images from the files flashed up right in front of her eyes. Blood, cuts deeper that she thought a knife could go, bodies gutted, abused and horribly exposed like bizarre pieces of art. “How many have there be in the capitol? More than one? I was surprised to hear that. Thought the murderer, or likely murderers in that case, would prefer the vastness of the countryside for their sick doings.”
.
He didn’t feel a connection to anything else around him, nothing except for the job that stuck to him. This job that was his own, this job of figuring things out and making sense of a world growing darker and worse by the minute.
Nika was an outstanding officer, the captain had said so himself. And he had said that Erik was invested. The combination of the two was something that the Captain couldn’t wait to put into use.
Erik’s eyes drifted and he watched the scenery, the world coming alive in front of his eyes, protruding and beginning to make sense. Only he still felt like he was heading towards a murder scene.
Her observation of the murders made plenty of sense if they were unknown to him- but something about them made him feel connected and familiar to them, to the type.
Shaking his head his eyes found her profile. “Five in the Capitol.” he replied simply enough. “It’s the city because they want to be found...they want everyone know what they can do.”

Beyond Death
harbingerofumbrella:
║♚║— It was another rainy day in countryside. Eris had buried herself with her studies while her beloved was in town attending a seminar explicitly for physicians. Eris would make sure that she get all manner of details from her husband no matter how grizzly he may think they are. Erik’s work was a simple wonder to her, it was unfortunate that physicians didn’t allow open viewing for those who weren’t a doctorate. Her studies were… far different from Erik’s though they were just as methodical. Alchemy. It required a steady hand, open eyes and mind. It was fascinating to the young Mrs. Lehnsherr. It was unorthodox and taboo. She tired her hand in it and it was marvelous. However she was care and limited herself out of fear. Fear of what? She couldn’t verbalize. Though each time she created a transmutation circle she felt something rise within her. Was it the mere energies of the earth or was it something foreboding? She wasn’t sure… Eris Lehnsherr loved and hated it all at the same time.
“Mommy?” A small voice of a child snapped her out of her studies. Eris placed down her book and beamed at her beautiful little girl. She was no more than five, curls ran down her back that had a bit of a red tint that came from her father. Her eyes wide and hazel filled with so much life and wonder. Little Ms. Dahlia. As she was pretty she was a stubborn as her father at times and we she was mad she stood just as tall as he. “Mommy, my toy broke… can you fix it?”
Eris sat her book to the side and grabbed her chalk. “Of course, my dear.” She chuckled hugging her daughter. She felt warm to the touch. Strange. “let’s use a bit of alchemy, yes?”
Dahlia nodded quickly as she loved seeing her mother’s hand. Eris made a small transmutation and placed the toy in the circle of it. Their daughter watched with a wide smile on her face as Eris placed her hands on both sides of the circle and watched the light erupt from the floor fixing the toy and melding it back together. “It is fixed??” There was nothing short of happiness in her question.
“Yes, it is. Now promise me, you’ll be more careful with your things, Dahlia.” She chuckled handing her daughter the toy. “Your father will be home any time now. You should get washed up for dinner. “ As she finished her words she could her the shoes of her husband enter the foyer. “Speak of the devil.” She hummed to herself. “Go on and get washed up dear.” Eris made her way to the front of their mansion, passing by scrambling maids that make sure things were in tidy fashion and dinner was thoroughly prepared. “How was your seminar, Erik?” Eris kissed his cheek and brushed his hair behind his ears lightly. “I am more than sure you have nothing short of great things to share?”

There was a bit of removal that stung inside of him. He wasn’t sure what to think as he headed home, he wasn’t sure what to feel, wasn't’ sure what to think of the sudden feeling surging through him. Why was there a feeling like something bad was about to happen? He had never had that feeling of premonition before.
Tightening his grip on his briefcase he walked through the cold streets and looked straight ahead. Gray streets rolling out in front of him, calm wind breezing through the trees planted beside the path. It was all so quiet and yet inside of him seemed to rage a somewhat vivid anxiousness.
Finally he stood in front of his home and stared at the panes of the windows, the flicker of lights and then drew in a small breath. the feeling of dark premonition seemed to be emanating from within and he couldn’t rightly explain it. At least not right then.
Still he had to go in. Still he had to figure out all of this.
Moving towards the front door he slipped inside and immediately heard the soft padding footsteps that belonged to his little girl. A faint smile marked his lips as he set down his briefcase. His daughter, precious girl that he didn’t deserve. how could he deserve her? Out of the entire world he deserved the least.
Feeling Eris’ warmth come up beside him he softly smiled and turned to face her. She looked just as she always did. She looked like his beautiful wife and for a moment he wondered why he had any of this.
Reaching his hand out he settled it on Eris’ and gave her a soft smile. “More than but...I’ve been- feeling this weird feeling of premonition, foreboding....have you been feeling it too?”

I love being part of huge mega blockbusters and a I love being a part of small independent films and small stage. I’m just looking at the material. I want to know the character and I want to know the text, and then the decision I make from there.

♔—-“I don’t think I said those words quite exact, but now that you mention it… yes. You probably should, and your Brotherhood will eventually, with or without your approval. It’s not ridiculous because, in case you have forgotten, I am, actually, a deity.” He smirked further. “Well yes, that, too, is in my nature, Erik. You should read more mythology.”
A laugh came from Erik and he shook his head as if in disbelief. “Loki, I cannot believe what I’m hearing from you right now, my friend.” Looking back to Loki he tried to settle his humor. “And what sort of offerings would you enjoy?”
