“I hope so,” Charlotte murmured her mind still somewhat focused upon the whereabouts of her family, she was already missing her siblings dearly despite the endless teasing. The arachne blinked a little taken aback initially by his words but as he continued to speak the nerves in her stomach settled, there wasn’t anything she wished for more than to be normal to finally fit in and yet Dylan had seen her true self and wasn’t horrified as she’d envisioned. “I suppose so,” she replied quietly but she didn’t quite believe him not with all the years of poisonous human media engrained in her. Shaking away the negative thoughts as the topic moved swiftly away she found herself smiling broadly up at him once more, “absolutely! It hasn’t been settled yet but as soon as it has you will be the first to know,” Charlotte felt a flush of nerves wash over her at the possibility of dancing in the show let alone Dylan coming along to see. The excitement sparked up once more as the queue dwindled down until they were upfront and approaching the rollercoaster, “ready as I will ever be,” she replied lips curved upwards into a somewhat mischievous smile. “Thank you,” she added politely as Charlotte climbed in settling down into the ride, the nerves were creeping back now, “how fast do you think the ride goes?” Charlotte eyed the rollercoaster track within her direct sight as she waited for him to settle into his seat.

Dylan smiled at her and nodded, " Sounds great to me." he replied to her glad to hear that she would keep him posted about the dance thing, he had never gone to see someone dance before so this was all new to him also, but he was actually looking forward to it, it looked like she was a good dancer and he could see that she definitely had the body for it. Once she was settled in her seat on the roller coaster, Dylan got on after her and settled himself on the ride as well, he looked over at her and pulled the safety bar down over her, making sure it locked into place before he pulled his down as well until it locked down also. He looked at her once more when she asked him how fast the ride would go, " It will go pretty fast to be quite honest with you, but don't worry yourself over it too much, it's not as bad as it looks and I'm right here with you as well." he said to her, he wasn't going to let anything happen to her. He looked ahead of them as the coaster started to move slowly up towards the top of the steep track, " Here we go." he said, grinning over at her, hoping she'd enjoy herself on the ride.

Charlotte was still beaming as they made their way into the queue for the ride, the arachne was buzzing with excitement to finally see what all the fuss was about and in her glaze of anticipation she hadn’t realized she’d been staring directly at him. Her cheeks flared with heat, although with the texture of her skin the blush was invisible, “I  … uh,” having not quite heard his question it took a second for her to fully catch on and formulate a proper response. “It’s not really an interesting story,” nor was it a particularly joyous one, “my parents’ were worried that a group of hunters were tailing us and unlike my brothers and sisters I’m not very good at hiding…,” Charlotte wondered whether her family had moved on from the cottage already and silently she hoped that they were okay. Not wishing to spoil the mood she added, “but it means I can dance so I’m really excited to be here,” lips curving back into their former smile as she spoke. “Oh! You should come to the Christmas dance show the studio I work at is putting on, I’m not sure if I will be in it just yet… but it’s going to be really good the choreography is beautiful.” The arachne realized a little too late that he more than likely didn’t care for seeing a dance routine but it was too late to backpedal now.

Dylan watched her as she took time to answer his question, he didn't mind really, she was clearly caught up in all the excitement going on around them and needless to say, he couldn't blame her. Dylan listened as she spoke and nodded his head slowly, " That makes sense, you'll be safer here then out there that's for sure, and I'm sure that over time you'll learn how to conceal yourself better." he said to her, " Not that I think there's anything wrong with how you are now, it's just who you are, there's nothing wrong with that." he said to her, he didn't want her to get the wrong idea, he didn't want her to think that he thought she looked bad because he didn't think that at all, he actually found her to be quite pretty, especially when she seemed so happy and excited about being at the Boardwalk. He smiled as she talked about her dancing, " That sounds great actually, I'd be happy to go, just tell me the date and time and I'll be there." he said to her. He moved with the line as it started to move forward and noticed that they'd probably be able to get on this time, he looked over at her, " You ready for this then?" he asked her with a small grin as they were taken to their seats on the roller coaster, which were pretty close to the front. He stood back for her to climb in first, " After you." he said.

Walking beside Dylan Charlotte’s gaze was flickering between all the different rides but each time he spoke her attention returned to him excitement still buzzing through her but at his words of warning regarding being ill she bobbed her head. “Yes… okay maybe I won’t go on them all,” she said lightly with laughter escaping her lips Charlotte didn’t have work or classes this afternoon and after seeing the numerous rides she’d wanted to go on every single one of them. As they walked she consoled his words trying to decide whether she wanted to build up or.., “oh what the heck let’s just go on one of the big ones!” The arachne exclaimed spinning in circles on her tip toes she quite dramatically pointed to the tallest ride her eyes could see, “how about that one?” Charlotte had entirely forgotten her nerves regarding how he might think of her appearance but she’d also quite forgotten to show a little restraint. Attempting to calm herself a little she turned to face him a smile still curving her lips as she finished, “then we could maybe go on one of the smaller ones? That way no topsy-turvriness or ––– well just a little less”.

Dylan chuckled softly and nodded his head in agreement, " Yes, good idea." he replied to her. He was happy to see how excited she was for this, the more he was around her the more he enjoyed her company it seemed, it was refreshing to him to say the least. Dylan looked at the ride she pointed out, saying she wanted to go on that one first, he had to admit that he was pretty impressed, most people who where new to rides tended to go for a more tame ride first before moving up to the big leagues, but not her and really it just intrigued him further about her, " That one looks good to me." he replied, he started to walk towards the line up with her, he looked over at her when she suggested they go on one of the smaller ones after and nodded his head, " That sounds good to me." he said, " It would definitely keep things evened out." he replied to her. The Big ones were definitely good adrenaline rushes, the smaller ones were fun but also more easy going then the big ones were. When they arrived at the line up, Dylan was glad to see that it wasn't too long, he made his way into the line and leaned against the railings and looked at her, " So, what brought you to this school?" he asked her, wanting to get to know her better.

After the events of the past week the warmth of the sun against her back was pleasant and here so close to the water the overwhelming mix of candy floss and sea air brought a faint smile to the arachne’s lips. But she was already smiling although in truth even she had to admit she was a little surprised as to how his expression hadn’t changed perhaps people here at St. Deveraux really were accepting, or maybe they had already seen it all and worse before. “Absolutely,” Charlotte replied with a bright enthusiasm lacing her voice, “I’ve always wanted to go on rides like these,” she gestured over towards a ride that spun you high up into the sky. Not to mention she’d been looking forward to spending time with him even more so now that he didn’t appear to even flinch at her doubled irises. “I can’t imagine I’m going to do much school work knowing this is only a walk away,” Charlotte added with a light laugh. She’d never been to a fair ground let alone having complete freedom to do as she pleased, Charlotte supposed that she’d have to go to classes or she wouldn’t be able to stay anyway – but at the very least her job was to dance and there wasn’t anything she loved more. “So what ride is the best then? They all look pretty crazy with all the lights,” even in the middle of the day the numerous blinking LEDs held up against the sun.

Dylan chuckled softly and started to walk with her, looking towards all the rides, glad that she seemed so excited about going on them, " I'm excited too, I think it'll be great. he said to her honestly, he had only been on rides once before, just shortly after he had taken this vessel and to him it was almost freeing, after always being viewed as the serious one, the one always in charge, so needless to say going on those rides it was like he was able to just lose himself for a while. He looked over at her a little surprised when she said that she had always wanted to go on rides like these ones, which told him that she had never been on one before. He chuckled softly and looked over at her once more, " They are a lot of fun that's for sure, and they're definitely a good distraction, but I find that there's only so much you can take before your stomach starts going all topsy-turvy on you." he said with a chuckle. He looked around at the different rides thoughtfully as he considered her question, " Well, I guess it depends on this kind of person you are, we could start out easy and make our way up to the real thrill seeker kind of rides, or we can just dive right in and start big." he said, " It's up to you." he said, being him, he was definitely the thrill seeker kind of guy, always looking for new things to experience on earth and he liked to just go for it but he knew that not everyone was like that which it why he thought it would be a good idea for her to decide how she wanted to start things off.

The Grand Tour || Dylan & Charlotte

Charlotte was a little late because of the numerous hours she had spent this morning applying, removing and then re-applying her make-up in an attempt to hide her mottled skin. After the school had returned to normal the arachne had been disappointed to find that she had returned to her normal self, which only made her wonder exactly what she had been for the duration of the darkness. But now she was attempting to follow the signs heading towards boardwalk with a faster pace than usual a stream of auburn hair following behind her caught in the soft autumn winds. She hadn’t intended to be late, but she didn’t want him to see her in this form, even here amongst familiars the looks she had received thus far weren’t helping her lack courage. But it was too late to chicken out she was already here and so with a slight wave towards Dylan she straightened the deep burgundy lace top she had adorned, finding herself unusually nervous. “Sorry I’m late I got a little lost..,” she rushed to say as Charlotte approached him.

Dylan had promised Charlotte that when the school was back to normal he'd show her around, considering at the time she couldn't really see the whole place for what it really was, let alone go outside and see the grounds around the school. When Dylan made his way to the broadwalk he noticed that she wasn't there yet so he waited and a few minutes later he noticed her making her way over to him. He straightened himself up from leaning against the railing and looked over at her as she made her way over to him, he was actually looking forward to this, she seemed like a nice girl, not to mention he preferred being outside then in, especially after everything that went down in the school for the last week, it was nice that everything was back to normal, that he was himself again so he was feeling good about this. Dylan smiled and waved off her apology, " Hey, don't worry about it." he replied to her honestly, he was just glad that she decided to show up, relieved even which was an odd way for him to feel, a part of him was worried that she wouldn't show up. He noticed that she looked different from when he first met her, he knew was she was now, an Arachne and he could tell that she had tried to hide her appearance, but that didn't matter to him, it was who someone was that mattered. " So, you ready to do this then?" he asked her with a slight grin on his lips.

Charlotte couldn’t help thinking that a weird sense of humor felt like an understatement, the school looked as though it was straight from a horror movie and it had all been done intentionally? Silently she hoped that the headmasters would be kinder in the future. “Oh- everyone is different?” There was an element of surprise to her voice as green hued eyes glanced down over her shadowed hands, “I bet that is quite weird..,” she found herself wondering if her transformation was as a result of this. A smile returning to Charlotte’s lips she replied, “it is a little odd but I suppose it can only get better from here right?”

Dylan nodded his head, " Yeah, you wouldn't believe what some people were turned into around here, you wouldn't believe what, or rather who, I came across so far." he said to her honestly, some of the things people were turned into mostly came from lore or just didn't exist. He looked at Charlotte, out of most of the others here, she was one of the few that actually seemed normal, but perhaps she wasn't he didn't know what she was so who was he to say, usually he would rely on his abilities to try to figure others out but right now they seemed to be dormant in this state which he didn't much like. " I don't think it'll last too long, a few days at the most." he said to her, " I can't imagine the parents would be too happy to hear that their kids were turned into other things permanently." he said.

"I saw that one guy who got turned into an ogre. That’s something you don’t expect to see." Frank told her friend, telling him that his position wasn’t as bad as it could be in different words. She decided to drop the fact she didn’t believe him, knowing it would only end badly.

Dylan raised his eyebrows slightly when she told him about the person who was turned into an ogre, " Wow, that's rough" he replied, " I guess there not much we can do right now other then just deal with it right?" he replied though still not all that happy about it, he knew he had no choice.

Francesca nodded slightly, glad her friend had accepted his current state. "Yeah, maybe you're right..." She muttered, though she didn't quite believe the words.

Dylan knew that she probably wasn't really believing what he was saying but he decided not to bother her too much about it, " I'm honestly not all that surprised by it." he said, and left it at that. " I wonder what else other people got turned into..." he said.

Zadkiel furrowed his brow and looked away with a small pout in his eyes, he knew there was nothing he could hide from Michael - he wasn’t scared in a sense because he was an angel, but it didn’t mean he couldn’t get creeped out… “I know there is nothing to be afraid of, you know my empathy was built to be much more sensitive than most other angels brother.” he stated, hoping that he would understand why he was acting so on edge - it was the truth after all. Zadkiel let out a small huff and put a hand in one of his jacket pockets. “I would appreciate it. My concentration breaks too often which causes me to fall prey to the illusions.” he looked away for a moment with another embarrassed look on his face. “I’ve fallen down quite a few staircases…” he mumbled.

Dylan noticed the look on his brothers face, " It's fine Zadkiel, really, it's hw you were created, our father wanted you like for for a reason, there's nothing wrong with empathy." he said. Zakiel had more humanity to him and Michael had accepted that about him a long time ago, that was part of the reason why he liked to have him around, he wasn't as stoic as the others were, including himself. Michael was built to be a warrior, to protect, to do what he had to do for the better good and lead when the occasion called for it and that's what he always did, without question most of the time. Dylan nodded his head when the other accepted his help, " No worries brother, I'm sure the both of us will be able to find whoever it is you are looking for, I'll look out for you as well, try to keep you from falling down any more staircases." he said, starting to make his way down the hall. " So, who is it that we're looking for?" he asked, glancing over at him.

"Well that may be what you were made to do, and that's probably why you're like that Dylan. In mythology saytrs were protectors. Of people, of wildlife." Francesca reminded her friend, hoping it would make him less annoyed with the transformation. "Though if it relates to what we're like I don't know how that makes me an amazon..."

Dylan listened to what she had to say and shrugged, " Yeah I suppose so." he replied, he still wasn't happy about it but he decided not to complain anymore. He looked at her, " Maybe deep down that's kind of who you are too Frankie." he said too her.

Francesca smiled slightly as she heard the words, though she didn't fully believe them. "I know man, you don't have to be happy about it, but if I know you Dylan, you still have fighting skills, even if you are half goat. Besides, I'm a huge warrior now so I could protect you of we needed..."

" Well that's new, usually it's me protecting other people." Dylan said, " It's what I was made for anyway." he added. " I don't know, the sooner things are back to normal the better in my opinion." he said. She knew he was an angel but she didn't know who he really was which was why it was hard for him to just accept this change for now and why he wanted it to be over and done with.

"Oh," she replied with a slight wash of relief if the school was usually shrouded in such darkness and terror then surely it wouldn’t still be running after-all if it was unsafe parents’ would simply stop sending the children, or so she believed. “So the headmasters do this as a joke? Wait–– if you aren’t usually a satyr.. then they changed you? Is that part of the joke too?” Charlotte was trying to see how such a scenario might be enjoyable or could be seen in a lighthearted manner but she couldn’t find an answer, it just seemed cruel. “Oh– sorry,” she responded quickly realizing how rude she must appear right now, “I’m Charlotte I only arrived yesterday and it’s nice to meet you Dylan,” she added with warm smile glad that at least now she had the beginning of answers to her numerous questions and possibly even some company.

Dylan nodded his head slightly, " Yeah, let's just say that they have a weird sense of humour some times." Dylan replied her, " And yeah this is a part of it all." he said motioning to himself as he spoke, " This is nothing compared to what I really am, it seems like everyone in this school is under the spell right now, at least everyone I've come across so far is different from what they really are." he said, " It's honestly pretty weird when you see people you know not as themselves." he said, though his couldn't help the amused grin appearing on his lips, it had taken sometime to get used to all this and now he was actually starting to see a bit of humour in it, it was all very ironic really. " It's nice to meet you Charlotte." he said to her, " Welcome to the school though, it must be odd for you to arrive in the middle of all this mess." he said.

Francesca nodded, understanding where her friend was coming from. “Yeah okay. But seriously Dyls, it’s just a bit of fun okay? I will admit that it can suck suddenly being weak and powerless, that’s me everyday, but it won’t last forever…” She tried to reason with he friend, though she was worried it wouldn’t work.

Dylan frowned at her and nodded, he was sure that she was very ahppy bout what she was turned into compared to her original self, he looked at her, " You're not weak and powerless as yourself Frankie." he said to her, shaking his head slightly, " I never thought of you that way at least." he said to her, " Yeah I guess it won't last forever but it doesn't mean I like it." he said.

Francesca stopped laughing at the threat, folding her arms across her chest. "You don't need to be so rude Dylan. I just find it funny that you have the rear end of a goat. How does that not amuse you?" She snapped. She wasn't very amused with the way her friend was acting, the amazon she had become boosting her anger as it was a male talking to her.

`Sorry Frankie, but when you go from what I really am and what they turned me into, you wouldn`t be all that happy about it either." Dylan said to her, " Usually I can do any thing I want, I can do things to fix this but I can't do anything since this mess started and I honestly don't find it funny, so all I'm asking is that you don't rub it in."

Charlotte was about to return to the common room in the hopes that perhaps there were people there that she’d simply missed earlier when a voice called from behind her. The girl turned to be greeted with a male with an unusual appearance and although she was fully aware that the school was for those not of human blood Charlotte still couldn’t quite believe her eyes. “I don’t know if I’m honest,” she replied quietly and the arachne really didn’t she was so utterly confused at this point she wasn’t sure if she was alright or not. “I only arrived here just yesterday and–– is the school always dark like this?” Charlotte left the part regarding her transformation out dearly clinging to the hope that simply being at St. Deveraux could have unlocked her ability to appear as a normal human, couldn’t it?

Dylan made his way over to her, shaking his head when she asked if the school was usually like this, " No it's not." he replied, " And you should know, I usually don't look like this, I'm not a Satyr." he added to her. He looked around, " This is just something the headmasters do I guess. They screw with us, this time it's all this." he said motioning around the halls and to himself. He shrugged his shoulders slightly, not really sure how else to explain it, some of it he just couldn't really make sense of other then the fact that the Headmasters were really just trying to get a good laugh out of all of it. " I'm Dylan, what's your name?" he asked.

Francesca looked around at the familiar voice, eyes narrowing as she tried to find her friend. As she saw him she burst out laughing her eyes flicking over his new appearance. "Yeah. Looks like you got the rear end of the deal there man..." She joked, giggles interrupting her words.

Dylan rolled his eyes at her comments and giggles about what he was turned into, " Yeah, glad I could make you laugh, maybe when I'm back to normal I can show you what my true form looks like and see how much you're laughing then?" he said to her dryly, it was clear he wasn't happy about any of this.

Charlotte had been in the school for not even a full twenty four hours and she was already wondering whether her parents’ had made the right decision to send her away. The school had been in utter darkness when she arrived, not a single peep of light and she’d even encountered a poltergeist that hadn’t let her pass through into her dorm for a solid hour. So when she finally got to her bed Charlotte ended up passing out from exhaustion, and when she awoke the girl that stared back in the moonlit mirror wasn’t the reflection she was used too. The arachne’s mottled skin was totally smooth, with a childlike appearance she looked all too similar to her younger sister, Charlotte leaned closer to the mirror totally unsure as to how to react. She’d been awaiting the moment that she could shed her hideous form, but now she was free she wasn’t sure what to do and she wasn’t entirely sure how it had happened either nor why she looked younger than before. In search of answers for her numerous questions she left her dorm and ventured into the dark corridors calling out quietly, “hello, is anyone there..?”

Dylan had been making his way around the halls, brooding, he wasn't all that happy that he was turned into a satyr and that there was nothing he could do about it to change himself back at the moment, all that was going through his head was that this better not last for long. As Dylan continued to roam through the halls, he noticed that he wasn't just the only one who had changed from their normal selves, everyone else had changed into something different and it seemed like they didn't have much of a choice in it either. As he roamed her heard a girl calling out, he made his way towards her voice and found her in one of the corridors of the school, " Hi, are you all right?" he asked, making his way over to her.
