Don’t worry about it, I kinda have my eyes on someone. You still have a lot of shit to do before you bring that baby into the world… and I need to work on cutting back on the curse words. Man. That is going to be hard, I don’t know if I’m ready.

Do you now? Good for you, Ri. I've started cursing in French when I get frustrated, because we speak English most of the time, so it's not like the baby gets it. And Nugget is like ten thousand leagues under the sea, so it really just sounds like jumped nonsense.

Does the world really want to know? Well, it's a Friday, so that's awesome, because that rarely ever happens. I don't want to give away too much, because it's a surprise, but we're leaving the Seattle area for a few, that's for sure. And it isn't that trip to Yukon I was joking about. You should probably get back to me after Valentine's Day.

Not all of us can have out own Kat, you know. You’re very lucky. I get where you’re coming from, but it’s good to see how much you care at only two months. Kat is definitely a natural mother, she’ll make things easier for you.

I'd try to help you out, but she's the only girl, so it's not like she has an equally amazing sister or anything. I know I'm very lucky, I never doubted that. I kind of just want to fast forward through it all until I have a physical child, but you know, it doesn't work that way. The idea of having to wait makes me feel impatient. I just -- I don't know, maybe it's just me? But yea, at least I have Kat to get me through everything.

You’re just jealous because my home decorating skills are definitely in my favor right now. Worrying’s a good sign, believe me, it really is. It may not feel like it, but it is.

I leave the home decorating to Kat, because I could care less. When she first moved in she dragged me to Ikea and Pier1 for days. I hope so. It's just, I guess won't know until like seven months from now. Which is a little unnerving. But at least I care, so that's something, right? And it comes so easily to Kat...

Oh shut up. I’ve been cooped up painting and working on my house way too long, it’s gets to you. It really does. You’re not going to fuck up anything. This baby’s going to be lucky to have you as a dad, and Kat as a mom.

You’re like an endless pit, it’s scary. You could do some kind of beige color, and liven it up with some wall decals, or something. It fits with the rest of the house, and works for when they get older. Plus if you go with a lighter shade of beige, it’s easy to paint over just in case you want to make a change. You two are going to be great parents. You’re right, this is an awesome thing. This baby’s a product of love, and that’s pretty damn special.

I’m really good at those, but that one came from the bottom of my heart. You don’t have to be short to be small… well kind of, but still. Just be happy Kat’s not waiting until the baby’s born to find out. That would drive you nuts. So, do you feel like a dad yet? Hearing the baby’s heartbeat and all? That’s gotta be crazy. I’m not even ready for a baby, and I’m thirty one fucking years old.

It's not my fault that I'm skinny either. You've had to feed me before. You know how much I eat. It's the baseball metabolism. That would probably drive me insane. What color would I even paint the nursery? Because that whole 'yellow being gender neutral' thing is bullshit. What boy ever has a yellow room? Well, yea, I guess I do. I mean, I talked to the baby today in third person and referred to me and Kat as 'mommy and daddy', so I guess this is as fatherly as it gets so far. It's definitely crazy, but I guess now that it's not scary as fuck it's kind of awesome.
