“Does THIS look like something a normal person can do?!”
Normally, the scene before him would not have been a big deal, as people healed all the time on the battlefield. But not like this. There wasn’t a medic around and she wasn’t wearing any nanotech that he could see. So eyes widened comically as all this dawned on Jamison. What did one even say after being shown such a display? “Alroight... ya’ got me. Guess ya’ don’t need savin’... My bad, luv.” Even so, no sense wasting a trip, so he held his metal arm up, copying her. But instead of blood, a light show sprang from it, complete with a mini disco ball rising from his palm. “Normal person can’t do this either, hehe!”

It was probably the fact that this was supposed to have been the simplest of missions that compelled Jamison to goof off... more than usual. With flask in one hand and vintage music blaring from the mechanical one, he sang along to the song, pausing every now and then to take a sip as they walked through the winter wonderland of a forest. “Blame it on the booze, got ya’ feelin’ loose, blame it on the ‘tron, got ya’ in the zone, blame it on the a a a a a alcohol, blame it on the a a a a a a alcohol...” echoed through the trees, annoying every single forest creature within a three-mile radius.
And Junkrat could not have been happier, even without the booze, as his earthbound angel was right by his side, accompanying him on this little quest. When ember eyes gazed upon her, he couldn’t help but give a big, dorky grin of appreciation. As cliche as it sounded, Angela made him want to be a better man...
Even now, as she had paused in her tracks to give him that look he knew so very well, Jamison gave her his full, undivided attention. “She look me dead in the eye, then my pants got bigga’ ♪♫... I mean—yes, luv?” With a tipsy, sweet smile, he offered his flask to her. “Mi petaca es tu petaca, amor.” And yes, the junker took every opportunity to show off the other languages he’d been learning since joining Overwatch, wanting to impress her.

No one could hardly believe it when the word got out, Jamison Fawkes, the rigidity, rough-looking junker, had joined Overwatch. Everyone but her. Her lack of emotion was what refrained from her being surprised, even if it was an out of the blue news headline. Even so, it wasn’t something the french spy cared much about, she read the article and moved on, but her superiors took it personally. Within a few days she’d been given a mission, one a little different from her usual ones. Her task was to stalk the man known as ‘Junkrat’, catch him when he was alone and try and persuade him to leave Overwatch and join Talon instead. If he refused her follow up mission was to kill him. Typically she would have just been sent out on assassination missions, missions like this were Sombra’s expertise, but people within Talon were beginning to question the hackers loyalty.
It was a week into her mission that the junker was left unattended too, the angel known as Mercy having finally left to tend to other business and leave Junkrat to his own tasks in the base which was currently empty ( which was known thanks to her visor ). Getting by the alarm codes was simply, disarming them was even more so. It was so easy it made her wonder if she was being set up. Waiting for the right moment, the assassin cut the electricity within the building and her mission went into play.
Steady feet ascend the stairs, her visor being her source of sight, which she trusted entirely. The red figure grew closer and closer until she was on the other side of the door from them. With a gentle knock, and her rifle in her other hand, Amelie turned the knock and instantly raised her weapon, entering the room with the gun drew directly on him.
“Jamison Fawkes,” she begins, thick french accent unwavering, “we need to have a talk.”
Although expression held utmost concentration as ember hues peered through the standing magnifying glass while working on his mechanical arm, lips betrayed the scene as they sang along with Akon. “Smack that, all on the floor, smack that, give me some mo’, smack that, til you get sore, smack that, OoOo~” Shirtless body moved to the beat as his hands remained steady, eventually finishing the task just in time for the lights to go out around him. Luckily, Jamison had his own little UPS for such times as this, since losing power could have catastrophic consequences if he were in the middle of an arm upgrade or repair.
Still, the lights on his desk didn’t illuminate the entire room, so when she appeared, Junkrat jumped and yelped, holding his arm and half arm up, not wanting to get shot on his day off. Every other day he was getting paid for it, but not today. “Don’t shoot, I’m unarmed... literally, luv!” Eyes glanced at his mechanical arm on the desk. “No funny business, just gonna’ put that thing back where it came from,” he said as a cautious move was made to return his appendage. “Gotta’ look my best in front of pretty ladies such as ya’self.” Once that was taken care of, eyes narrowed as he studied her. Oh, he’d heard about this one. Black widow? No, no, she had red hair and white skin... Widowmaker? Yeah, that was it! And from what he could remember, she was very deadly, a top rated assassin with a heart of ice. So there was really only one thing to do in this situation...
Eyes drifted from hers to the barrel of the gun. “...Are ya’ flirtin’ with me, luv? Dominant women really get the blood pumpin’, so yeah, I’ll go out with ya’.” Yes, the plan was to flirt. Jamison knew how adorable he was as he gave her the puppy eyes and a big, dorky yet oddly charming grin. Plus, he wondered how a blush would look on her purple cheeks if he could manage to accomplish that. “So, wot ya’ craving? Italian, Mexican, Chinese, or wanna’ jump straight to Australian with some Netflix and chill, as the old expression goes, my little baguette?”

It was no secret that Jamison was chaos personified. Wherever the Junker went, trouble and explosions usually followed. Eyes on the prize, he never noticed the surrounding carnage, nor how it affected those caught in the crossfire. The collateral damage wasn’t his problem. The concept hadn’t even crossed his mind... until today.
After heading out, the mayhem left a mile or so behind and his haul safely in the trunk, a hand went for his phone... which wasn’t there. “Bloody ‘ell...” Normally Junkrat would’ve left it, forgotten about it, but this wasn’t a burner, it was his personal phone with important info in it... Incriminating info. And normally this particular phone was safely locked away in a compartment on his leg, but after checking it to refresh his memory about the heist info, he’d set it down while otherwise occupied. Yes, he remembered exactly where it would be. Should only take a second to retrieve it.
...That was if the building had still been fully intact. At least the erupting toilet gave a landmark of the approximate area to scavenge. It didn’t take long for the scanner on his arm to locate the device, but just as he was about to step out of the shadows, voices caught his attention. Ember eyes focused on what could only be described as an angel among the rubble. She was tending to someone who was injured, which only further helped to cement Jamison’s first impression of her being an ethereal being. Oh, she was beautiful, and gentle from what he could see from his vantage point, lifting the patient’s mood, causing them to smile.
For a split second, Junkrat seriously considered injuring himself so he could pretend to need her help — no one had ever treated him with that much care that he could remember — but no, he had to get out of there. Had to get the haul to a safe location before more law enforcement showed up. After one last longing glance to the woman, eyes targeted the phone. If he was fast enough, he could grab it and get out of there before she noticed. And so he rushed over, shoved it into the hiding place on his leg, and made a beeline for the safety of the shadows... only to trip on the way, falling flat on his face in grand Junkrat style.
