“Oh come on, punching him would’ve been fun.” He chuckled. “As for knowing, not all people can see others for who they really are.”

“That’s true, I guess.” She smirked, even laughing a little at the thought of punching him. “I didn’t really mean knowing about him. People will always be deceitful. What I should’ve known was that I couldn’t end up with someone that’s worth my time.”

Nadia licked her lips gently before giving him a slight nod, “I’d like that a lot…” She stated, reaching out to hold his hand.

“Huh - that’s a first“ Theo reacted with a smirk, turning his attention to the young woman who he assumed was the little girl’s sister. He was used to half-heartedly apologizing for Charlie’s behaviour, he was used to dealing with crying kids, angry parents and concerned teachers but this was a first. Somebody had actually asked Charlie if he was okay and so naturally, Theo was surprised. Maybe she hadn’t seen Charlie tackle the little girl and was assuming that what happened was an accident? After the little boy nodded his head in response, Theo dismissively added “ Oh, he’ll be fine.” tousling his brother’s hair, happy to be avoiding the apology speech he was used to give nearly every day.

”Good.” She smiled between the little boy and the older gentleman who seemed relieved that Courey wasn’t angry. She knew the boy had probably knocked over her daughter, whether on purpose on not she wasn’t sure, but her belief was that kids would be kids and it wasn’t her place to discipline another child. She looked back at her daughter and brushed some sand off of her dress. The little girl was still sniffling so she pinched her nose and tickled her side until she got a smile out of her. “I think someone needs ice cream.” She gestured to the truck next to the park and looked back at the two standing next to them. “Do you want an ice cream too?” She asked looking down at the little boy.

“i’m from augusta, maine, and i currently go to NYU,” the male shrugged, running his hand through his hair. he nodded along to what she was saying about herself, and her family. “actually, i play football too. it’s not as big as my love for music, but it’s there as well. this is my first time at the camp, which might be obvious. is there anything good that you’re planning?”

”Okay, so we have East coast boy, music student, football player, and newbie. What about family? Significant other? Girlfriend? Boyfriend?” She quirked her eyebrow with a smirk. “Lots of camp games. Plus there’s the prank wars that happen every year.”

“roza, roza, roza..” his lazy smirk etched onto his face as he watched her walk over to him. he had to spend a lot of time away from home and when he wasn’t between those walls he could ignore the feeling of guilt. but as soon as he saw roza or valentina - oh, did he miss them. above being the head of the gang, he was a father and a lover. “i did miss you,” jesús whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead, his hand going to the curve of her waist. “i would love to see you in that little black dress, hermosa,” wrapping his arms round her properly as she pressed against him. it thrilled him out she could wrap him round his finger, how she could change his mood with a flick of her finger. “presidio cocina.. “ jesús swayed, as if there was music filling the space around them. “sounds.. interesting, i’ll trust your judgement. let me just check in on galo,” pressing another excited kiss to her lips before letting go off her, walking over to their phone.

A hum left the female’s lips contently as she heard her name rolling off of his tongue, she’d never get tired of hearing the male say it. She smiled and blushed as he complimented her, even after being married and already having a child Jesús still excited her. He still made her feel like the most beautiful women in a room full of people and she hoped that feeling would never go away. She swayed with him and giggled as he pecked her lips. “I’ll go change. Tell Galo to take good care of my niña and we’ll pick her up first thing in the morning.” She called over her shoulder as she sauntered away to the bedroom to change for their night.

        he hummed, feeling warmer inside knowing that she’d been thinking about him for a lot longer than he’d ever imagined. “hey, i’m happy to get the largest milkshake they’ll offer as long as it’s you sharing it with me.” he drank a little bit more, keeping it in his hand so that he would remember to drink it all before it melted.  “so… what does this mean for us?” elliot asked, straightening up slightly, but still keeping a gentle grip on adisyn’s shoulder. “the schools resident bad boy with the student body president? what will they say?” he joked, taking another sip from their shake. “do i get to sit with you at lunch in the cafeteria? or carry your books out of anatomy class? you know, all of the cliche high school relationship things.” he chuckled softly, “or would you prefer to keep us under the radar: late night milkshakes like these, sneaking into bumblebee after classes, me being your super secret boyfriend?” elliot really didn’t mind which adisyn chose, as long as he was able to spend as much time with her as possible. he placed the milkshake back on the table, taking her hand and intertwining their fingers. “honestly… i will do anything for you.”

”I don’t know.” She answered him with a shrug. “You tell me.” She laughed a little as he joked around about their situation. He was right though, people definitely would have something to say about them dating. “If you want to. Of course.” She nodded, rubbing her hand along his arm. “I don’t want this to be a secret. I have no reason to hide you away from everyone. Except to keep you to myself.” She teased. “If people don’t like it than they aren’t or weren’t my real friends to begin with. People don’t really know the real you and hopefully this will be a chance for them to get to know the real you, Eli.” She smiled as he told her that he would do whatever for her. “I know.” She leaned forward and kissed his cheek quickly, pulling back and grinning at him.

         smiling, elliot wrapped his other arm around her, caressing her gently. he loved that she had said that she could see it in him, the way he felt about her. “i can’t believe you feel the same… this feels surreal.” elliot whispered into her ear. he raised an eyebrow, surprised to hear her say the words finally got the guts. had she always had her eyes on him? elliot had always known of adisyn, but never really thought much of her other than her being one of the popular rich kids. he hadn’t even thought of her when they sat beside each other. “are you saying you’ve wanted to chase me down in the past?” he smiled, tilting his head to look at her leaning on him. “i really can’t believe you’d ever have your eyes on me… you are too perfect and i’m… nowhere near your potential. but i’m… so glad you feel the same.” he leaned in closer to her, inhaling the sweet scent of her hair, ingraining it into his memory.  “you smell amazing.” he laughed softly, rubbing his thumb against her shoulder, loving the closeness between the two of them. for a moment he wondered if he’d just fallen asleep earlier, and that he was living one of the dreams he’d had over the past weekend, but he was certain this was real. everything from the way she felt against his chest, to the reciprocated feelings, to the vanilla milkshake melting away on the table – it was all real, and it was amazing. elliot let his hand drop from her shoulder, reaching for their milkshake and bringing it up to his lips. “you are so right about vanilla milkshakes.” he said after taking a sip, tilting it down towards her in case she wanted some as well. “from now on we’ll have to order an extra large one to share.”

She blushed when he noticed how she had worded her previous sentence. “I, uh, yeah. I have actually thought about trying to talk to you before. When we first started sitting next to each other in anatomy there was just something special about you. I wanted to try talking to you a few times after that, but never felt confident enough to do it until that day when I say you at the bus stop.” She smiled, shaking her head at the fact that she had just confessed that to him. “I don’t think that’s true at all Elliot. You are definitely near my potential.” A small laugh left her lips as he said she smelled good. He brought the milkshake down to her lips and she drank a little bit of it before nodding. “We definitely will have to do that. The vanilla shake was my thing so if you’re gonna steal it we’re gonna have to get a bigger one.” She teased, nudging him.

things had not been going well between them for ages, so much so they were barely talking now. getting out of the shower, he glanced back through to her. “ did you say something?” darren asked, having thought he’d heard her say something. “ i’m gonna go to the shops get the food in, want anything?”

Emmy walked into their bedroom, noticing that he was just getting out of the shower. She moved to sit on the bed and turned on the tv. “No. I didn’t.” She shook her head, gesturing to the tv that he must’ve heard. “I’m fine. I’m not hungry.”

It came easy since she had never really talked badly about him before.

“I, um… Well yeah… Is that bad?” Nadia asked, turning her head away slightly.

”Don’t.” He grabbed her chin between his fingers, turning her gaze back to his when she tried to look away. “You’re too gorgeous to be bashful and no. It’s not a bad thing. After tonight I’m starting to realize how much I care about you too.”

                 “a little bit, yeah. i play the guitar mostly, and sometimes sing. i also go to school for music, but it’s more of.. composition,” the boy shrugged, his grin staying. “tell me about you then?”

”And where are you from? What school do you go to?” She continued with her smile still on her face. Inviting him to tell her all about him. “Not much to know. I’m from Chicago. I go to the University of Alabama. My family is a huge part of the crimson tide. I’m a cheerleader there and my brother is a football player. I’ve been a counselor here for the last three years, but this year I’m the head counselor so I’m running things as well as teaching all the dance classes.”
