It is with unfortunate news that I am announcing that I am officially shutting this blog down.
Or archiving it, for better terms; it will still be around to peruse and reblog from, but I will no longer be using it for interactions and have turned off the inbox and submissions. It never had IM capabilities, given how I used the member system for it, and Tumblr doesn't allow the IM system to work on multi-member sideblogs. Probably for the better.
For those who are confused by this decision, I have had this blog since 2010. Before Yahoo, before the Apple NS/FW Purge, back at a time when I could still toggle the 'Mature' setting, and that is a very long time indeed. The fact that this blog still functions as well as it does for its age is probably a glitch in and of itself; chalk one up for committing to the bit.
However, with all old glitches comes breaking glitches and it has been blocked by blogs I have NEVER interacted with before, I can only imagine most of them are blogs that do not allow 'mature' ticked blogs from accessing their stuff. Which is where this blog is locked into because back in Ye Good Olde Days of when Tumblr still allowed users to control their space instead of letting tech conglomerates moderate it for them, I turned on the Mature function because I was reblogging artistic nudes. Not a lot, but it falls back to that 'moderate your own space' thing and yes, there were tiddies and dinkles. By the time I realized you couldn't toggle it anymore, it was too late. This blog is locked in a permanent toggle glitch that not even the workarounds and ripping the code apart could fix. I tried.
So, new brand, new me. New personal blog.
I will no longer be posting to DystopianUtahraptor, but the artblog will remain under the same themeing. I have, however, taken the time to rebrand, as it were, and use my linguistics degree once again for things it was not intended.
You can find me now over at @archaepophagist instead! All my personal mumblings and reblogs of stuff I like will be over there now. Hopefully, it lives as long as Tumblr limps along.
