Okay so over on my Twitter account I shared a link to my Curious Cat account which essentially acts as a means for people to talk to me anonymously which is v similar to the ask box here. Over there in response to a previous question I answered I was asked "What did sjw's do to you? Whatever they did it's irrelevant it's just white tears". The following essay is my response to the ask. I hope this essay can spark an intelligent dialogue in regards to its subject matter. I want people to feel informed after reading it so just please approach it with an open mind. Note - the essay you will contains additional information that had to be cut from the original post due to a character limit. I know that sjws are not centralised, I refer to sjws as a single body just for simplicity. Also please excuse grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, structural problems etc. ***** Anon: "What did sjw's do to you? Whatever they did it's irrelevant it's just white tears" My response: I'm literally still bitter over this. Some of you may remember when funding was cut from the Irish mental health service's budget and in response the Irish people got the #IAmAReason trending worldwide on Twitter. A popular sjw account tweeted "what the Irish crying over? Another potato famine?" That tweet alone was her making fun of genocide and mental health, something an sjw would never do. When called out on it she continued to deny Irish genocide and dismissed our outrage as "white tears". Her and her 'associates' then said that we need to stop looking for attention and that Ireland wasn't the only country occupied by the British and one Bengali girl said that Irish genocide doesn't matter because the Bengali genocide durning the 20th century was way worse than the Irish famine. Then she spread falsely claimed that the Irish refused to send aid to help because we were trying to suck up to the British when in actuality Ireland couldn't afford to send aid because; we were dealing with internal conflict (IRA), poverty in Ireland ran rampant and our government couldn't look after its own people - something she failed to say. Then things just kind of simmered down and they deleted some tweets. Then the sjw account said "I wish all white people would just die already". Which, again is problematic and hard to discuss because you're just met with "white tears". I just don't understand how a community which tries to act as a voice for all is actively and ruthlessly trying to silence mine, it's just contradictory. The sjw community as a whole is just contradiction after contradiction. They demand their ideologies be respected while also ridiculing others for their ideologies (in fairness their 'enemies' ideologies are so problematic). They demand their many struggles be acknowledged while denying and concealing the struggles of others. They fight to end racial prejudice while also embracing racial prejudice against white people. That's the main problem with in the sjw community, their method of treating white people badly to 'give them a piece of their own medicine' and their constant downplaying and ridiculing of things which have affected/affect white populations as "white tears". Like of course some - heck - most things white people complain over are so petty and irrelevant, (ex. Complaining over Becky with the good hair, being called Mayo etc) I'm not going to deny that. However, there are some really important things the community refuses to acknowledge the suffering of white people thought history. For example, they ignore how my country was occupied for over 800 years by the British, how my ancestors were slaughtered and enslaved, how they were starved, how our culture was destroyed and our ancient works of art destroyed. Just like native Americans and African Americans, I too bare the scars of my ancestors - yet unlike native Americans and African Americans, the hurt of my people is denied by a 'progressive' movement. It just makes me pitty the community a little bit less each and every time. Look - I know I was born white and therefore I inherited privileges - but for them to attack me for that, why should I pitty them? I'm more than willing to give up my privileges to improve the lives of the people who suffer because they're not like me, but why should I aid in the manifestation of a new social system that takes away my privileges and improves the lives of those who are hostile to me? I know this sounds extremely "white tears" and I also understand that their actions are not a form of racism because racism is a racial bias that lowers a races standard of life and affects the day to day occurrences of everyday life. But racial bias is still wrong, and that's where the communities downfall is. It's in its hostility towards whites. The sjw community is supposed to be a welcoming community which is fighting for the abolishment of all things oppressive, yet it has also taken on the role of a force to oppress white people with (I know I know I sound whiny and butt hurt, but just bare with me). The communities aim - from a strategic point of view - should be to entice white people into joining Them. But instead their petty bickering and unnecessary online witch hunts in situations which demand healthy debate and respect just pushes white leftists (like myself) further away and makes them reluctant to support the sjw community. And similarly to how US intervention in the Middle East turns people into extremists, it turns white conservatives into radicals and extremists - thus fuelling their never ending rage against the machine. Their actions are nothing more than self sabotage. To finish up my rant, I strive to be part of an extremely progressive community of like minded people, I strive to be part of a community which aims to end homophobia, islamophobia, transphobia and of course racism, i strive to be member of a community which respects people's culture, religion etc. However, I refuse to associate myself with a community who attacks me for my race and who denies the struggle of my people, which is why I refuse to identify as a sjw.
