I haven’t finished any digital art in a while, but I managed to get to some semblance of completion with this guy in order to try out that fancy new timelapse function in clip studio paint

+ some more recent dorohedoro fanart attempts, because re-reading/re-watching the ridiculous lizardman anime has been my coping mechanism of choice for this hell year

Eventually I’ll figure out how to draw human and human-adjacent characters again and do more fanart...we’ll see how long that takes.

(Also on that note, a reminder that I do tag ‘fanart’ if you’re just here for the dragons and I do tag ‘gore’ and ‘body horror’ should those come up. Blacklist that shit as you see fit and let me know if anything else needs to be tagged.)

Found some more post-its from work that hadn’t been scanned yet, here’s some of the nicer ones

some more recent sketches that were an attempt at making a version of the DnD dragon species without trying to reference the classic Todd Lockwood designs too heavily (which are cool in their own right but super ubiquitous) with some uh mixed results.  Mostly this was just for the hell of it and I didn’t bother googling anything to double check so take them with a grain of salt

1st is bronze - from what I could remember of the official lore (tm) these guys breathe lightning and are a largely maritime species.  So, they get a 2-prong taser face, air sacs, and a dorsal fin that makes them functionally a sailboat.  In retrospect, kinda veered too close to those ridgeback dragons from flight rising or whatever the heck they’re called.

2nd is blue - also tried to re-use the 2-prong electrical look but with a different location.  not really far enough from the original design though?

3rd is black - also not super divergent from the original look, figured the acid spit thing would erode their face over time and be a cool explanation for their more skeletal look. +bonus pharyngeal jaws because slippery swamp fish

4th is white - was hoping to go for a more leopard seal look on these guys, not really sure that panned out.  they’ve got whiskers and ice cleats now too

Misc. pen doodles from the sketchbook I’ve been attempting to keep at work - top two feature Saibera (the sentient wyvern-type species in Tohenn that are typically enlisted for air travel/combat) but otherwise, mostly just random stuff.

me @ me: ok, it’s been way to frickin long since you’ve finished anything, and it’s been even longer since you’ve posted actual FMA fanart.  I should draw something I haven’t before!  There’s five billion characters I like but haven’t drawn a lot, if at all!  I should branch out mo -
