Okay, for serious, this is what I’m always saying to people who say “I can’t draw.” Or who bash their own art. Like, I’ve been guilty of it, I’m not calling y’all out, but serious–KEEP PRACTICING if you want to get better. There’s no such thing as a decline from practice.

I feel like there are a few things that need to be discussed regarding who should play Aladdin in the Disney’s live-action movie because many people don’t know where he was ACTUALLY from. Most of us are used to thinking that Aladdin is an Arab or Persian and we got Disney to blame because they get most of the original folktales wrong.  Disney’s “Aladdin” is based on the tale “Aladdin and the Magic Lamp” from “One Thousand and One Nights”. Now, “One Thousand and One Nights” is a compilation of  Middle Eastern and South Asian tales, which again could trick people into thinking that Aladdin is Pakistani, Indian, Turkish, Egyptian etc etc. In the original tale Aladdin is…*drumroll*…Chinese. Jasmine’s original name is Badroulbadour and she is also from Far East. Anyway, Disney doesn’t really follow the original story and tends not to change anything in the live-action movies, they’re literally identical to their animated movies except they have real people in them. So based on that Imma assume they’ll get an Arabian actor to play Aladdin or they gonna whitewash the movie.
