Annabeth gave a small sigh of relief when he decided to stay. She folded her hands on her knees as he had leaned over to kiss her cheek. She really couldn’t have thought of a better time to spend time with him. ”How much time do you have?”  She leaned over to nudge him with her shoulder 

He tilts his head for a moment, glancing over at the blonde as he relaxes back into his regular postition, "I stopped by the Big House when I got back, so I guess I don't really have anywhere to be until the camp fire."

Well, if she wanted to play hooky, it's not like he was going to say no to that either. "Anything exciting happen since I left?"

Annabeth returned his smile. She never understood how someone as dorky as he was had been able to make her feel the way she did when he was around. “Don’t thank them yet. Never know when you might get swept away again.” She teased. She did hate how often he was off doing things for the Gods and never had time to himself. 

“I missed you too. Do you have time to sit and share a few moments with me?”

Not a second is wasted as he takes the seat beside her before leaning back on his forearms; it wasn't as though he disliked being a demi-God, infact, he couldn't even imagine what it would be like to have a normal life, but it was tiring, and he often finds himself just wanting a quiet day, basking in Annabeths presence.

"I guess I could do that, even heros need a break from saving the world," he grins, leaning over to press a quick kiss to her cheek, "only if I get a few moments of your time though."

annabeth:

          it’s only her job as his girlfriend ——— she has each spot on his body pinpointed with a different label: beneath his ribs, he’s most ticklish.  the small of his back is the best place to gently massage.  in this instance, he loves to have his hair played with.  she stifles gratified laughter induced by his low groan, fingers still threaded through unkempt hair.   ❛     you still drool sometimes, seaweed brain. i never minded too much, anyway.    ❜

     "I have no idea what you're talking about," he replies, unable to help the grin spreading across his lips, enjoying the shared moment between them. She made him feel calm, unlike the waters of his fathers domain, his own personality, his moods, his mindset, often seemed like a reflection of the sea.

     Now that he was back, he had no plans to leave her side until the end of camp at the earliest. He leans into the touch, and he's sure that if anyone from camp saw him behave like this, he'd never hear the end of it. "Feels nice."

The blonde looked up from her novel when she heard her boyfriends voice. Though the dyslexia does make it difficult to read, that never stopped Annabeth from enjoying a good book. Though she did miss him very much she understood that being a demigod meant. 

“Finally get the chance to sit down?” She asked, closing her book and placing it on her lap.

     There’s a bit of a grin, hinting at his features as fingers move to rub at his neck. It felt like he’d been away from camp almost the whole summer, which really sucks when it means you don’t get to spend time with your girlfriend, “thank the Gods.”

     “I missed you.”

            in both his words and actions, it is clear that he won’t be getting up any time soon.  the daughter of athena forms a genuine plan to protest his will, though she stops herself before she can start ——— evidently, he was beyond exhausted.  a gentle sigh passes through parted lips, fingers meeting his scalp and combing through licks of raven hair.     ❛   i figured you wouldn’t. you’re lucky you look cute when you’re sleepy.   ❜

     It takes nearly everything in him, not to groan into the feeling of her hands in his hair, but he's sure a sigh still somehow manages to escape. Embarrassing, he thinks before dismissing the thought.

     He melts under her touch, and he doesn't understand how she knows just how to coax such reactions from him. ".. aren't you glad I don't drool anymore."

     Sleep nearly overtakes him until her voice reaches his ears, it's soft but it's just loud enough to wake him, but he's enjoying this-- his time with her, and so he simply nuzzles her, content with their proximity.

     "Don't care."

     He's been a bad boyfriend lately, he knows it, Annabeth knows it, hell all of camp knows it-- running from quest to quest without so much as stopping to give her a kiss.

     It wasn't his fault, but he still felt pretty bad about it.

     It doesn’t take long to find her by the lake, her nose shoved in the pages of a book. For someone with ADHD, and dyslexia, he never really understood how she could stay focused long enough to get through something of that size. He doesn’t doubt she struggles at times, but it’s like she enjoyed the struggle.

     He takes a spot beside her, hand moving to wrap around her waist lightly. “Hey”

     There's a grin on his lips as calloused fingers move to lightly pull the book from her grasp, knowing full well the chances of getting a scolding from the daughter of Athena was likely, before marking the page for her. 

     "I was expecting a bit of a warmer welcome home, coming back from that quest."
