Poem Bangkok Timeless Collection III “Bride Killer”
Do you ever hear someone say something about your field of interest that is wrong and you have to stop yourself from physically cringing but you gotta stay strong and cool cause you don’t wanna be ‘That NerdTM’?
there is no deep meaning to this, this is when I see people refering to Excalibur as “The Sword in The Stone”
Wait I though the sword in the stone is Excalibur. What is it then?
The Sword in the Stone is Caliburn, and was the way be became king. Excalibur was the sword given to him by the Lady of the Lake after he broke Caliburn fighting King Pellinore.
I have been educated today and I appreciate it
someone: and then he pulled Excalibur out of The Stone -
everyone who has read this post, starting now:
Some historians believe that Caliburn may have been an old term for Excalibur. The name of which got more extravigant with the Arthur story arriving in France and the rendition of the stories that Lancelot first appreared in by Chrétien de Troyes. This is the same set of stories The Lady of The Lake gets her signifigance form as a kind of mother figure to Arthur’s right hand man. Plus either way it wasn’t lodge in a stone. The sword was stuck in an anvil. Disney was in many ways quite faithful in their adaptation.
