how was mina the hollower? is there anything you really enjoyed or appreciate about the game and how it functions/was designed?
oops its been 2 months. mostly i like it bc i really like the gameboy zeldas etc. this is because I'm old
I like the bone beach boss a lot. its obnoxious and killed me way too many times but I really enjoy having some bosses in the modern day designed around positioning yourself correctly and kinda improvising how to dodge stuff and deal damage, vs just learning what moves the boss does and countering them with specific other moves
one minor quibble is the map actually has a bunch of discontinuities and overlaps etc. I really like it when you can stitch together and view them as single connected piece but I can understand in this case that that probably would have made the level design a lot more work than it already was
(also while it had a lot of fun to find secrets etc. its much more an action game than a puzzle one so I'm hoping isle of reveries can scratch my itch for dungeon headaches)
