Hello! This is a bit random, but do you know your myers briggs personality type?
INFP :)
hi :) what books would you recommend for people who love romance novels?
hmm well it's funny you should say that because i'm taking a whole course at college focusing on very romantic novels and I've JUST finished reading Belinda by Maria Edgeworth on Friday which was incredible and a lot like a soap opera but very romantic and interesting! a lot of drama!
Jane Eyre is of course the greatest romantic novel of all time hands down
I'm currently reading Sense & Sensibility and I'm about 30 pages in and I think it's very good! at first it's confusing and slow but I'm becoming more accustomed to the elevated language and all of that
hi, hannah :) i just want to say that you are absolutely wonderful~~ i love all of your blogs, your art, your writing, the way you speak, you are so beautiful and kind and sweet and talented <3 thank you for being who you are and keeping us all so fascinated and giving us inspiration
ah wow thank you so much that's such a nice thing to say i'm glad that my work has inspired you ah ✿◠‿◠
So, HB, I know you're big on journaling. I'm wondering, what is your favorite type of journal? Any specific journals you love? I can never seem to find one I like enough to stick with. Also—you're wonderful and have a lovely day.
thanks pal! my favorites are decomposition books i'm obsessed i fill them up like it's my religion
Maybe all he was really saying was: I am not responsible for your pain; share your happiness with me but not your unhappiness.
Toni Morrison; Song of Solomon
Do you annotate your books or do you prefer to keep them as pristine as possible?
i buy most of my books used and i annotate to DEATH unless i buy hardcover then i keep them nice idk i like books that are used and already HAVE notes too
When did I ever frighten her out of her normal vocabulary?
J.D. Salinger; Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters
manictrixiedreamgirl replied to your post: can you explain what naked lunch is about? i've...
do you think it’s kind f the same with on the road too??
no no on the road is a completely different kind of book because it has an actual plot with meaning and characters and subplots which are all connected and easy to follow the only thing those books have in common is that they're both beat books
i just wanted to say that you are my biggest inspiration, writing wise. i think all your words are beautiful and i'm extremely jealous of how it seems to come so easily to you. i wanted to tell you and let you know that you should never stop writing because it truly does touch the hearts of others. i stopped writing for a long time and i just had no motivation at all and i went through every single one of your poems and you've really inspired me. so thank you.
wow thank you so much!! i'm really glad i could inspire you. As easy as it may seem for me it really isn't; it isn't easy for any writer! good luck <3
can you explain what naked lunch is about? i've been trying to challenge myself to read it but most of it just sounds like nonsense and it's got me really confused and i just don't understand it.
okay well it's a lot more fun to read if you don't pressure yourself into understanding it! the first time i tried i was like "i don't get it??" but then i started looking at as more of an EXPERIENCE. You can't approach it the way you approach another book. There is basically no plot, just tons of little vignettes i guess which aren't even really connected. don't worry about following it, just enjoy what burroughs put together which is totally unlike anything else you will ever read or experience in your entire life probably.
Hello Hannah Beth, I've been thinking of reading Slaughterhouse Five for my Independent Novel Study coming up in a few weeks. I am a grade eleven student at a French, very strict school and I know it's a very short book so I was wondering how you felt about it, I'd also like to know if there's enough substance to write an essay to present to class and if it's fairly appropriate seeing that the book is banned and only has near 220 pages.
yeah there's TONS to talk about with Slaughterhouse Five! It's a really fun and interesting book and there's already a lot written about it so research would be easy. I think there are so many different ideas to go along with the plot that you couldn't go wrong with it! good luck!!
He said I worry more than you do and I said You don't know what worry is so I can't worry. I try to but I cant think long enough to worry.
