Really?
"I’m sure its being performed somewhere in the country; I’ll find out where for us."
"You mean... we could get out of here?"
Really?
"We should definitely start with the play, so the movie has more impact."
"Works for me." She smiled. "But how will we see the play?"
"Yep. Tis what I said, and I don’t lie." Flo’s smirk and words continued to ease some of the worry on Aaron’s mind. She was going to share her problems with him, and seemed to be loosening up just a bit as well. Maybe the night was going to go better than he thought?
Stopping in front of the kitchen, the boy peeked through the door’s window to ensure that it was indeed unoccupied. “That’s fine. We should have plenty in a moment. I mean, honestly, this place has the worst security.” Opening the door ahead of them, Aaron motioned for Flo to enter first. “My lady.”
Florence walked in before him and began to look around, her heart only half into finding the drinks. She'd been in bed so long and her mood was still so low that she honestly didn't feel like doing anything, but curling up in a corner on the floor and disappearing from the world.
"Maybe try the cabinet above the fridge?" She suggested, already preparing her questions for him. She knew she had to word them carefully, so she wouldn't scare him and he'd feel more inclined to answer truthfully.
Aaron knew that something was bothering Flo, that much was obvious to anyone. What he didn’t know was what, and that was something he couldn’t get past. How do you make someone feel better, if you don’t know what’s bothering them? “How ‘bout this…” the boy began, taking a pause as he thought of what exactly he was going to say next. “you tell me what’s bothering you, and you can ask me any questions you want until the night is over. I’ll answer as honestly as I can, but I really think you need to get this off your chest.” Aaron doubted that Flo would ask him anything that would require revealing too much of his past, so this seemed like a fair trade. He got to a shot at easing her mind, and she got a great shot at embarrassing him. It was a fair deal, wasn’t it?
Florence looked up at him curiously as they continued to walk towards the kitchen. Talen had told her that it was okay to tell Aaron. They were roommates after all. She still thought it was funny how her foster brother and biological brother shared a room, but at least she could tell the one person in the academy that she trusted with her life. "Oh yeah? I get free reign?" She smirked, trying to seem innocent enough. Deep down, she knew the questions that she wanted to ask him, but it would be best if he didn't know the severity of her curiosities just yet. "I'll tell you... I just need a drink or two first..."
Really?
"Perhaps we could watch it together; the play and the movie."
"Sure, yeah." She smiled. "That could be cool."
Really?
"You’re definitely missing out, the play exceeds the movie."
"Well, the play is in the movie if that helps at all."
Really?
"Ever heard of Bang Bang, You’re Dead by William Mastrosimone?”
"I have, actually! I've never seen it, though. I've only seen the movie based on the play... which was pretty awesome."
Really?
"I’m very aware of how awesome the play is, yes. Its one of my favorites to be exact."
"Oh, really? What other plays do you like?"
After Hours Curiosity || Hyde and Flo
Hyde wash washing her hands in her office bathroom, when she heard the door to her office opened. Figuring it was either Erik or Katie to ask for another favor, she dried her hands and smoothed out her knee-length skirt before making her way to the door. It seemed the two kept showing up for favors every day and it was beginning to get on the woman’s last nerves. It was true that she wished for the two to gain the trust of the other fellow students, but it was costing her money she really did not with to spend.
Just has she had the door knob turned, the lights went out, veiling the room in complete darkness. The sound of the locks she had installed during the reconstruction of the academy being activate hit her eyes and a smiled pulled at her lips with approval. At the sound of the small generator outside of her window turning on, the lamp upon her desk flashed back on, turning Hyde’s attention to Florence standing by the filing cabinet. The headmistress was expecting the gilr to come looking for answers sooner or later after her half-brother opened his mouth, so she was not surprised. “You not going to find what you’re looking for in there, Miss Blake.”
Florence swallowed, letting out a sigh of relief as the lamp flickered back to life. Turning around she opened the filing cabinet and started to search for her file. She only hoped that she could find some answers. She finally knew who her father was, but he was dead. She had a brother, but she couldn't tell anyone, with the exception of Aaron, of course. And what had Talen been on about Erik and Katie? How could two people be so easily influenced by the old lady that ran the place. As if on cue, Florence heard her voice and quickly shut the drawer and turned around to face the woman. "Oh." She swallowed and nodded once before chewing on her lip a little bit. "So... you mean you don't keep the keys to the game cabinet in here?" She smiled innocently and tilted her head slightly to the side.
After Hours Curiosity || Hyde and Flo
Florence Blake had far too many things on her mind. She thought the whole half-brother thing was no big deal... but her low mood had gotten her thinking too much as she lay in her room wanting nothing more than to disappear from the universe. How could a man as rich as her father was described to be not even help her out in the slightest? He left her to get passed around like a bread bowl in a fancy restaurant. Except the people taking the bread treated it like crap. And then there was the mystery of her legal guardian. Why were they keeping themselves a secret and why had they sent her to Brookhaven of all places? Florence couldn't wait until she was 18 and could legally make her own life decisions. Still, she found herself curious.
Hyde's office might have been locked as the storm growled outside, but Flo had been picking locks for years and in no time, she was in. She opened the door carefully and closed it behind her almost immediately. She found it strange that a lamp was on, but paid little mind to it and her surrounding before quickly moving over to the fire cabinet only to hear thunder strike before the entire room went black and the locks clicked into place, echoing through the room. "Fuck..."
Penis.
It's the only way they can get love.
Why do orphans love playing tennis?
"Why?"
They don't know where home is.
"You think you're real funny, don't you?"
Why do orphans suck at baseball?
"Where are you going with this?"
Okay, what the fuck?
"That’s a conversation we don’t need to have." Talen shook his head then, laughing some. Sure, they were siblings but not anywhere close to talking about that; not as if Talen wanted to. Nodding, he leaned back on his palms. "Same with Sophia, you’ve probably seen her around. Cute blonde, friendly." Sophia was basically his partner, regardless of what they did in life; they sort of always ended back together. "I’ve kept secrets all my life so its not too hard. He better or I’ll suffocate him in his sleep." Talen said, wishing he was joking. "Katie Whitney and Erik Berkley. Hyde’s pets, just don’t get on their bad sides because they can do whatever they want to whoever they want."
"Right... definitely not... ever." She nodded once, knowing that Aaron would never feel like that about her anyway. No one would. It would be silly to think that anyone would ever actually want her. "Heh... yeah... please don't?" She raised an eyebrow, hoping she could at least keep Aaron safe from it all. "I've talked to Erik... but not Katie. I didn't know they were that close to her." She rubbed the back of her neck. "That's... kind of disconcerting."
