Instead of waiting for your next party invitation to life … Start dancing in the now.

I just realized that the last time I updated this blog was exactly a year ago.
That’s insane.
08.07.15
It’s 12:30 am on a “Thursday night” and I’m currently waiting on my nails to dry before going to bed. During this downtime, I have been roaming through apps that I haven’t made the time for in months: Tumblr and Pinterest. Suddenly, I have an epiphany.
I want to start blogging again.
Blogging, journaling, writing reviews and any other form of expressing my thoughts has been an obsession of mine for as long as I can remember. It has been an outlet for me to destress and look back on recent memories and now I have decided that I want to get back to it.
Of course, I don’t think this will be an every day thing for me. But once in a while will be a start.
Things have been different since I first started this page. I’ve turned 22. Brandon and I are on our 2nd year together. I’ve graduated. I’ve moved out of my apartment in Eugene. I’ve moved back to my parents’ house (hopefully, temporarily). And currently, I have been applying to a multitude of jobs throughout the west coast.
Change is a crazy thing and I’m not quite sure if post-grad life has hit me just yet. After all, it has only been 4 days since I moved out of Eugene. However, one thing’s for sure: I’ve been itching to get my foot out the door and dive right into my first real job... Whenever that may be.
I hope it’s soon though.
Tomorrow will be another day, another Friday in which I will be searching and applying to more places and anticipating an Email or call from a certain company about a potential opportunity or the light to move on to the next door.
I’ll keep you updated.
Do you.
Before I go off to bed, I feel the need to get this subject off my chest. This has been flowing throughout my mind and I think now is the time to sit down, spit out the thoughts, and move forward from it. For the past few weeks I've felt alone and dependent on other people around me. Thinking back, I've never been this type of person. i've always been independent and not having a care whether I was doing things on my own or not- hey, that's how things get done, right? Of course, it's not to say that I'm anti-social or anything, I just simply enjoy doing my own things for a while before I can kick back and relax with my loved ones.
However, lately, this loneliness I have been feeling has been putting a negative ora in my life and I can say confidently right now that I am sick and tired of it putting me down and ripping me to shreds. Regardless of what I have experienced in the past, I've realized that I should not and will not allow it to define who I am today.
From now on, I want to go back to the girl that I was three years ago. The easy-going, friendly, and carefree girl that enjoyed her life in the now, rather than worrying too much about her surroundings that served no purpose for her own life.
From now on, I am going to live for me and me only. I am going to set goals and focus on myself to achieve what I want to achieve for my future. No longer will I be defined by my past, I am who I am today because of certain things, but it shouldn't be a permanent thing. Every day, we are constantly changing, whether that be small or big, we are never the same person we were yesterday and that's something that i need to constantly remind myself- I have the right to be who I want to be, change what I want to change about myself in order to feel completely happy again.
There's something that one of my friends had said to be last quarter that made me realize that I am in control of myself and my life: "Do you." Though simple, it has meant a lot to me and was right the push towards the direction that I so desperately needed to be on. It's small things like that that gets me through those rough days and reminds me that hey, tomorrow's a new day. If you didn't like today or you didn't like something that someone said, change it- simply, do you.

She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes: Thus mellow’d to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies. One shade the more, one ray the less, Had half impaired the nameless grace Which waves in every raven tress, Or softly lightens o’er her face; Where thoughts serenely sweet express How pure, how dear their dwelling-place. And on that cheek, and o’er that brow, So soft, so calm, yet eloquent, The smiles that win, the tints that glow, But tell of days in goodness spent, A mind at peace with all A heart whose love is innocent!

Top 12 Summer Beauty Essentials
I always get this question, and I thought since it's the summer, why not make this post. Complied in this list is essentially products that I use every day, regardless of the weather. However, during the summertime I minimize the usage of certain products and here they are:
Beauty Blender BELIEVE in the hype! Not only does this create a flawless finish, but it also cuts down on application time! Win!
Mac Pro-Longwear Concealer With my Beauty Blender, I dot this concealer under my eyes and any other parts of my face that needs coverage (i.e. acne spots).
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer This is my favorite under eye concealer! Make sure the color is a little lighter than your current skin tone. I use this to brighten under my eyes, highlight my forehead/chin, and help with contouring on my nose.
Mac Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze BEST bronzing power I've used thus far. I also use this powder to contour my face.
Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink Another favorite of mine, this blush is packed with pigment and lasts all day! The only downside is that it contains bits of glitter/shimmer that can transfer.
MakeupForever Aqua Brows in #25 No matter where you're going, your brows should ALWAYS be on POINT. I cannot live without this product, the best I've used thus far, PLUS it's waterproof!
Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette The perfect on-the-go palette for travelers and everyday use.
L'Oreal Infallible Gel Liner in Black This is a product that is a little difficult to use in the beginning, however it's worth it! Not only is it super pigmented, but the product is also waterproof- huzzah!
Maybelline The Rocket Volum' Express Waterproof When this product says that it's waterproof, it is NOT kidding! Seriously, this takes me forever to get off even with eye makeup remover. Tip- use Neutrogena's Makeup Removing Towlettes for this one!
Nivea's A Kiss of Smoothness SPF 15 Chapstick
Gold Bond Ultimate Daily Moisturizing with Vitamin E The BEST body lotion I've ever used! It's non-greasy, lasts, and smells clean- what could be better?
Hawaiian Tropic Shimmer Effect Lotion Sunscreen SPF 20 No summer beauty essentials list is complete without sunscreen! Lather up with this coconut scent that both protects and moisturizes while also giving your skin a bronzy look!
Hearts are wild creatures, that's why our ribs are cages.
Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

Soulmates
The people I have loved in my life have never been easy to love. I’m not used to normal. I’m used to disaster. I’m accustomed to working for love.
