À l’occasion du SPACE 2013, l’entreprise Medria, spécialisée dans les solutions de surveillance de l’élevage, présente deux innovations : un service de détection des troubles de la santé, le San’Phone, et une application mobile, SmartDWS.

Spécialisée dans les solutions de surveillance de l’élevage, l’entreprise Medria, dévoile deux nouveaux produits au SPACE 2013 : un service de détection des troubles de la santé, le San’Phone, et une application mobile, SmartDWS.

Des éleveurs connectés à leurs cheptels

Le San’Phone permet d’informer un éleveur (par SMS et ordinateur) de possibles troubles de la santé d’un animal via l’analyse de ses courbes de température. Quant à l’application SmartDWS, elle offre aux éleveurs la possibilité de retrouver l’ensemble des services de détection de Medria sur leurs smartphones. Ils accèdent ainsi, n’importe où et à tout moment, aux données d’activité et de température de leurs animaux.

Un nouvel outil voué à développer la stratégie numérique de l’entreprise et qui sera développé sur le long terme, grâce aux utilisateurs. « Suivant les retours, nous verrons les aspects peu pratiques qu’il nous faut améliorer. C’est dans l’usage qu’il faut juger les choses », rappelle Stéphane Godin, responsable développement logiciel.

Un marché principal : le Grand Ouest

Basée à Châteaugiron, près de Rennes, Medria a été créée en 2004 et emploie 40 personnes. L’entreprise distribue ses produits en France, en Europe, et même, depuis quelques mois, aux Etats-Unis.

Cependant, son marché principal reste « le Grand Ouest, où existe le premier bassin laitier français », souligne son président, Jean-Pierre Lemonnier.

Happy birthday to the Internet! You know, that thing that brings us cats and stuff. Forty-four years ago today, a message moved between two computers connected through a network designed to enable the sharing of information between various government funded science projects.

Columnist Michael Hilzik looks back at the web’s infancy, including a forward-looking 1968 paper titled “The Computer as a Communication Device,” co-written by Robert W. Taylor, one of the lead officers at the Defense Department’s Advanced Research Projects Agency.

"In a few years," the paper began, "men will be able to communicate more effectively through a machine than face to face."

Communicating online, he concluded, “will be as natural an extension of individual work as face-to-face communication is now.”
