April 17, 2016 - What the hell is that? What’s making all that noise? Oh god, is Jaimie trying to talk to me? Why? It’s too early. Maybe if I ignore her she’ll just go away. Something about the alarm going off soon. If it hasn’t gone off, why is she up? She's still talking, I guess I’m not getting anymore sleep. Better get in the shower. Wow, balance is off, must still be drunk. Hopped in the shower and that helped a little. Can’t eat anything right now, but I still need to hydrate. Don’t want a hangover once this drunk wears off. Managed to get my hands on a bottle of green tea (vending machines aren’t more than 50 feet from you at anytime) and went on a train to Harajuku. Lots of small shops along a Main Street so we headed down there. Little boutiques and small novelty shops abound. It was about this time that the few drops of rain turned into a full fledged downpour with the wind blowing it in every direction imaginable. Glad we didn’t bring the umbrella as we watched everyone else’s get turned inside out. Got off the main shopping street and headed for lunch at Gyoza Lou, a small restaurant in an alley. Only 8 things on the menu, but it was all so cheap we had a little feast to ourselves. Managed to ditch my hangover by eating lots of Gyoza and cucumber with miso sauce on top. After lunch we went back to ur hotel to drop a few things off and headed back to Akihabara as Chad and Paisley were in line for the Gundam Cafe. Waited another half hour (they had been in line for 2 before we got there) and went inside. Really cool things hung everywhere, but since I didn’t know much about the series I learned quite a bit from the promos on the TVs. After dinner we split up as Jaimie and Paisley wanted to go to some costume shops and I wanted to look in some more toy shops. Found a few items along the way, but didn’t buy anything. We met back up around 8 and went our separate ways again. Went back to the hotel and grabbed my camera and tripod and went back to Shibuya crossing. Spent ~30 minutes at the crossing and Jaimie had heard that a great place to see it was from the Starbucks which was on the second level overlooking the whole area. Got some pictures and then was told that I couldn’t take any pictures so we left and went back home. Couldn’t get to sleep so I just went on the Internet for a bit. Finally passed out at midnight.
