I hate richie and eddie because they are both the kind of people whose every action is basically saying “look at me! look at me!” however richie is so afraid to really be seen it’s like “look at these parts of me I am showing to you so that you will not see the rest of me and I will never expect you to look any deeper just please look at me that is enough!” and eddie is so afraid of what he needs that he’s like “look at me and tell me who I am I trust you to see me for who I want to be not who I think I am look at me and see me and show me myself!” and they both see each other except eddie sees the parts of richie that he thinks he’s hidden and richie sees eddie for who he is in that moment and they are the same in that they are never imagining each other to be different people they look at each other and see each other and know each other just as they are and they love each other that way. there is no other richie or eddie there is nothing they would change and nothing they hate. there’s just the eddie that richie loves and the richie that eddie loves. I need to go stand in the woods and scream
