DIY Face Masks: Part 2.
┠Benefits: Acne healer, pore cleaner, blackhead remover, and it has a natural exfoliant effect. Ingredients: - ¼ cup of strawberries - ¼ cup of sour cream or plain yogurt Directions: Mash together the cup of strawberries with the cup of sour cream or plain yogurt. Apply, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
ā” Benefits: Moisturizing, glowing effect and natural skin healing. Ingredients: - 1 ripe banana - 1 tablespoon of honey - A couple of drops or orange or lemon juice. Directions: Mix the ripe banana with the tbsp. of honey, then add a couple drops of orange or lemon juice (from the fruits themselves, not store bought fruit juices). Mix together then apply and leave on for about 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
ā” Benefits: Moisturizing, perfect for dry skin. Ingredients:Ā - ½ a very ripe avocado - 2 tablespoons honey - ½ teaspoon coconut oil Directions: Mash or puree the avocado until itās smooth and creamy, and then blend in the rest of the ingredients. Apply to your face, avoiding your eyes, and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Wipe your skin clean with a damp, warm cloth, or rinse your face with warm water in the shower.
ā” Benefits: Natural exfoliate affect, acne treatment, perfect for rough, acne prone skin. Ingredients: - 1/3 cup instant oatmeal - ½ cup hot water - 1 tablespoon honey - 1-2 tablespoons plain, unsweetened yogurt Directions: Add the water to your oatmeal and stir for a few minutes until itās plumped up nicely. Add the honey and yogurt, and put through a blender to smooth and combine it really well. Slather this all over your face, leave on for 10 minutes or so, and then wash with warm water. Pat dry.
~ This mask can also be used on eczema patches on other parts of your body, such as inner arms, the backs of your knees, your neck, etc. for areas other than your face, you can leave the treatment on for a bit longer before washing it off.
ā” Benefits: Detoxifying, De-puffing and helps with anti aging. Ingredients: - 2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee - 2 tablespoons pure cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon honey - 3 tablespoons yogurt or sour cream Directions: Blend all of the ingredients together, spread evenly over skin, and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes. When you rinse it off, massage your face gently to exfoliate as well. If thereās any mask left over after you wash your face with it, add a bit of water to it and use it as a scrub for the backs of your arms and any other body part that could do with some smoothing.
┠Benefits: Perfect for oily, acne prone skin, brightens complexion. Ingredients: - ¼ cup mashed strawberries - 2 tablespoons lemon juice - 1 tablespoon yogurt - 1 tablespoon honey Directions: Mash all of the ingredients together, but do not puree in a blender: you want this to be spreadable, not a liquid. Apply evenly all over your face and let sit 8-10 minutes. Wipe off with a warm, damp facecloth and then rinse with cool water. Pat dry.
ā” Benefits: Redness, rosacea problems. Ingredients: -1.5 tablespoons dry instant oatmeal - 2 tablespoons plain, unsweetened yogurt - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar - 1 teaspoon honey - strong-brewed green tea Directions: Blend the first 4 ingredients in a bowl, and add 3 tablespoons hot, strong green tea to the mixture. Stir regularly for a few minutes, adding tea as needed until youāve created a thick paste. Apply it to your face and let sit for 10-15 minutes, then wipe clean gently with a damp cloth. Rinse with cool-to-warm water, but do not use soap, and pat dry gently. Repeat twice a week for best results.

1.prepare your space: make sure your room and bathroom are clean and smell nice and change your bedsheets. light some candles. if you have a diffuser put in fennel oil or lavender oil. super calming.

Unhealthy vs Healthy Lifestyle
Tub Tea and Bath SoaksĀ
WARNING: These recommendations and recipes are not approved for young children or pregnant and/or nursing mothers. Please also take any allergies you have into consideration!Ā Ā
When taking a bath, many people think of relaxation - lighting candles to create a soft glow, a glass of wine in hand and perhaps some soothing music playing in the background. However, baths can be so much more than relaxing: they can also be nourishing to your body.Ā
Using the right combination of ingredients, a bath can reduce inflammation, heal wounds, energize your mind or calm you down. Here are a list of common āgoalsā for healing baths and the herbs (dry or fresh) you can use to successfully create them:Ā
Soothing: Calendula petals, lemon balm, eucalyptus leaves, Celtic sea salt
Relaxing: Rose petals, lavender leaves, thyme, beebalm, bay leaf, jasmine, white sage, epsom saltĀ
Skin softening: Chamomile, linden, rose petals, chickweed, calendula flowers, ground almonds, rolled oatsĀ
Stimulation/Energizing: Mint leaves (peppermint, wintergreen), lemongrass, eucalyptus leaves, rosemary, sea saltĀ
Anti-inflammatory/Pain-relief: Calendula, lemon balm, plantain, rose petals, yarrow, neem, Epsom salt, sea saltĀ
Common CombinationsĀ
I highly recommend using a cheesecloth or cloth/paper tea bag for baths involving dried herbs to minimize mess and prevent damage to your drain.Ā
Basic Salt Bath:Ā
¼ to ½ cup herb mixture (I like using 2-3 different types)Ā
¼ to ½ cup Epsom or sea saltĀ
Milk + Honey Bath:Ā
2 cups powdered milk (any kind)Ā
1 cup honeyĀ
Pain-relief Oatmeal Bath:Ā
1 cup very finely ground oatmeal (or oat flour)Ā
2 tbsp each: calendula petals, neem, plantainĀ
