It's the First Sabbath of the Year! 7/365 days of 2023 have ended. I'd like to remind you today that God has an incredibly valuable task for you. You, in the situations of your life that He created uniquely for you, should carry out His will on earth, as it is done in heaven. In doubt remember that God has prepared specific works for each of us to walk in. He has specially curated a plan for our life in the perfect way for us to overcome any obstacles. We do not know what lies ahead, but our eyes are fixed on HIm. Let us start the year full of hope and trust in Jesus.

thank you for surviving. seriously, wow. at times, it might have been difficult and you have faced challenges that you never thought you would survive, but you did survive. thank you for always trying your hardest, no matter how tired and defeated you may be. thank you for always getting up for work and for classes even though sometimes you don't want to. you might not feel successful at times, but you are successful and the success will only continue to grow. & please just continue to confide in God when times are rough. you are going to go very far in life, and that is something that you must never lose sight of.

Read: Joshua 3:16b,17; 2 Kings 2:6-14 Devotional Joshua led the Children of Israel to the Jordan River. The Promised Land was in sight. Four hundred years of slavery and forty years of Wilderness wandering have brought them to the edge of their destiny. This was what they have been wai

Everyone faces personal and professional obstacles throughout life. These may be financial, physical or emotional, or based on gender, class or race. But you can become your own biggest obstacle when you allow fear and self-doubt to stand in the way of your success.
“Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn’t measured by how many times you stood up to fight. It’s not winning battles that makes you happy, but it’s
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord”
2 Corinthians 3:18, NKJV
With such a promise before us, a promise guaranteed us through the death of Jesus, how important that we not lose faith, but instead, amid our trials, ask the Lord to purge us of everything and anything that stands in the way of our faith.
Our bodies are God’s home. If we abuse our bodies by failing to eat healthfully or to exercise, or if we regularly overwork, this is also sin against God.
And although we must be aware of the reality and the power of our enemy, we must never be discouraged, for we must always remember that Jesus has beaten Satan, that Satan is a defeated foe, and that as long as we stay connected with Jesus, as long as we cling to Him in faith, we can never be defeated, either. Because of the cross, Christ’s victory is our victory.

“Eden, pahulay pud”.
Lately, I often hear this statement (Hahaha).
As a person who works compulsively, beating workaholism is a bit challenging.
Honestly, I work to reduce feelings of guilt, anxiety, helplessness, and depression. I become stressed if I am prohibited from working. Statements like “ugma na na uy”, “tama nana den”, kay makastress hahaha. I know, people are just concerned about me pero “naa paman gud ko sa akong momentum. please just allow me to work”. Mao ang akong permi hangyo. Hahaha. I even deprioritize hobbies, leisure activities, and sometimes, exercise because of work, online classes, or studies. I must remind myself again that I need to slow down, unplug, and rest.
Being a workaholic shouldn’t be a status symbol — instead it should be treated as a serious condition. Perhaps the best course of action is to develop self-awareness of any tendencies you may have to become a workaholic. Monitor the time you’re putting into work and take notice when your work life is creating problems in your personal life. Practicing disengagement, taking regular vacations, and setting healthy boundaries can help you develop a work-life balance that will prevent you from becoming a workaholic.
This month, make yourself a priority, Langga. Rest is a fundamental part of success, health, and happiness. Renew your strength in Jesus. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts … and be thankful. — Colossians 3:15 (NIV)
