Main AU
So, I created this AU a couple of years ago, it’s a pretty solid idea now, been working on it for a while, thought it worked great with undertale, mainly because theres already so many great AU’s out there that co-exsist seemlessly with others AU’s and merge, such as fellswap and such.
So this AU never had a original world, they’re more physical personifications of the AU’s timeline, created by the power of the RESETS and overflowing DETERMINATION, you see, the power to SAVE and RESET is against the rules of exsistance itself. The personifications all originate from the void, believed to form when the DETERMINATION becomes unnaturally overwhelming, forcing it into the VOID. If a RESET is made and more DETERMINATION is manafested, it is again forced into the VOID, eventually forming into the personification.
Depending on the MAXIMIM amount of LV and EXP gained by the fallen human throughout the timeline at the time of creation can have an effect on the ‘power level’ of each personification, for example;
CLASSIC may be undergoing a genocide run, so the LOVE may be at it’s MAX of 20 at the time of creation where as UNDERFELL may have one of 10, making the personification more powerful in UNDERTALE, though it is unkown weather or not this affects personality, though after a RESET, CLASSIC may go though a pacifist run so their LOVE will be 1, meaning that the personification for CLASSIC will not become stronger.
Though Editale is an AU both liturally and figurativly, it relates more to the VOID as a whole, sometimes, each universe creating multiple personifications due to the DETERMINATION within each timeline being unable to be stored safly within a single personification, though there are accounts of personifications who have obtained too much DETERMINATION, causing an instability in their personality.
The personifications all differ from eachother, though they all have a similar goal. As they were all formed due to unnatural means (DETERMINATION and the RESETS) they seem to want to EDIT the timelines manualy by following the child throughout the game and creating a completely new ending somehow in order to make the RESET obselete through various meathodes.
Some of the personifications prefer the idea to help them return to the surface and work from there, where as others want to completely erase themselves and/or other personifications, thus erasing the timelines and the power to RESET. Though there are few who prefer a diffrent approach. Some like the idea of using their abilities to create a new dimention that in a sence, ‘cleans’ those with the power to reset while giving them an entire new dimention to inhabit without human interfearance.
Technically they do have infinate HP and cannot be destroyed by anyone. Though it is possible for someone who has enough DETERMINATION, the ability to RESET or ERASE to bring their HP down, though as their HP lowers, it’ll bgin at 100,000 HP, by killing the personification, they can complete a COMPLETE TRUE RESET, where everyones memories are RESET to -0, RESETING to beffore the first ever RESET within that AU, though this will also bring the personification back down to their weakest point.
The Editale Characters are more like my OC’s but are open to interpritation, and I don’t think I will draw the characters but I will give them names and basic info, but if anyone wants to draw them feel free, as much as I’d want to do a web comic, I’m not so good, though I can do writing and stories, if you have any questions about this AU, feel free to ask, or if you want to contribute, just ask.
