sometimes agere is just daydreaming about all the baby stuff and not actually doing much of it at all irl. sometimes some of the things you love to daydream about are not things you would find fulfilling or fun in practice and that is okay and valid! your regression is valid whether you enjoy those things or not!

ok, imagine this with me… a whole gated community just for us. every single person inside is either a caregiver or a regressor. there are homes to live in, playgrounds everywhere, a school that’s actually fun, and little shops that get us.

the playgrounds are huge! some for tinier littles, some for older littles, and there’s a shallow kids pool and a splash pad too. we could ride tricycles safely, climb as high as we want, swing forever, and nobody would ever laugh or judge.

the school? it’s gentle. nap times, quiet rooms, sensory corners. teachers that actually understand us. we could bring our stuffed animals to class, or just chill in the reading corner with a book and no one would care.

the shops are perfect. toy stores, craft stores, even a grocery aisle just for snacks we love. a little café where we could sit with our stuffed animals and eat tiny pancakes or drink hot chocolate.

there’s a library, a community center, a movie room, and even a clinic where help is calm and kind. caregivers are safe and trusted. littles can be… just littles. dress how we want, stim however we want, bring all our plushies.

it’s like a place where the rest of the world doesn’t exist. where being small isn’t weird or wrong. a place that’s ours, just for us🥲

Reminders for Autistic Kiddos!

♾️ You are enough just as you are

🧸 It's okay to need more support and care than other kiddos

🪀 It's totally normal if your version of play looks different. Lining up toys, taking pictures of toys, or however else you choose to play, is just as valuable as playing pretend

🩹 Accomodating yourself is a must! Don't force yourself to communicate or behave in ways that are more palatable to others. Use your aids! (Text-to-speech devices, Communication cards, Blue light glasses- whatever helps YOU)

🍼 There is nothing wrong with being small. Life is hard enough for autistic people. Please give yourself grace and allow your age regression to help you when it can ❤️‍🩹

i see many thoughts on regressors with disabilities, but i think it’s also good to remember that caregivers can have disabilities too.

gentle reminder to treat your caregiver(s) with kindness and compassion too. they aren’t just your caregiver, they’re people with dimensions and that sometimes includes disabilities!

and having a disability does not make a caregiver any less of a caregiver! ive seen some caregivers say that they feel unable to be a good caregiver on here and that’s just not true in my opinion!

every little one needs something different, and while some may require care you’re unable to provide, there’s a little one out there whose needs match your own.

Also idk if it’s a hot take or not, but incontinence care should be more accessible, for anyone regardless of age, not just diapers or pads but other stuff like catheters or adapted clothing

Being a padded regressor made me realize this, cuz, we barely have options on where to buy good quality diapers, diapers that are cute, that feel like it matches our style! And disabled people also feel that way!

Ofc we (regressors) may not have the same reasons (or have the same disability ourselves) but it makes you be more empathetic and aware of it, yk?

There’s still a lot of stigma about incontinence care, and, if you are a regressor you should at least be respectful about this topic (imo)
