This is an incredible process on a scale so small that you can hardly imagine

A process so far away from functioning in our scale and different from how we understand physical movement you would expect to be so so much different that what we see everyday

But no the tiny protein in our brain fucking WALKS

I still remember the day my biology teacher taught us how this protein works, in all his theatrical megalomania. Of course he had to make a live demonstration. So he showed us the two states this protein existed in: right leg in front of the left. Left leg in front of the right. And he explained that this protein alternated repeatedly between those two states (jumping up and down between the two positions), and the result of this was… And he just started walking in the classroom, with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face.
