Hi!! Are you uncomfortable with spam reblogs? I run an anti-endo archive account where I archive anti endo sources, arguments and other things of the like. Your posts are very educational and theres a lot I could reblog from them! — @genericarchive
yeah no prob!
thank you for your honest and empathetic response. i am trying to rely less on GPT. but like you said it's almost addictive. i'm using less and less but it's so easy to rely on
No yeah i get u and i feel for u. Genuinely glad you're making an effort to reduce how much you use it. any progress is good. It's designed to keep you hooked and make you think you need it for literally anything and everything.
Like my take is still gen AI bad but more nuanced than "if u use it ur a monster" because of how it preys on people by design so while you bear responsibility for your actions and obviously I think ideally it just shouldn't be used, this is literally the intended outcome for the people designing it.
And the more you interact with it the more you teach it how to respond to you in a way that's gonna make you keep coming back. That's the trap, dude.
Like i'm not gonna shame you. In fact, the fact that you even felt like it could be called a disability aid suggests to me how it possibly presents itself to you. That's not a free pass to be sayin goofy shit- that was pretty silly ngl but i know it can market itself as something that gives disabled people agency when really it does the opposite.
I'm not even seeing potential benefits don't exist in a world where it's not garbage or manipulative or bad for the environment. Like I wish it wasn't dogshit because I think it could be helpful as a TOOL (not an AID) if not for the ethical issues and all that. As long as it's not being used in place of medical care, obviously. But as it stands, I aint a fan.
so like yeah bro idegaf if u call urself endogenic atp (not that i ever really did much but yk) just stay safe because like while i haven't personally had this issue ik what it's like to want to feel normal or like you can function like a "normal person" because disability can make you feel like you're behind everyone else or built wrong in a way that you don't want seen.
There are tools that aren't AI that can help depending on what you got going on. maybe they won't write out responses and stuff for you but things that help you without removing your agency while just maintaining the illusion that it still exists y'know?
I have schizophrenia and pots and I still respect my own thought process and other people’s work enough not to let a bunch of ones and zeros decide why I believe what I do, cowards shit, its no different than what conservatives do with the news
ikr? it's wild
like it's genuinely kinda scary that people rely on it to tell them what to think or how to feel especially because a lot of the time AI can articulate or affirm something unhinged in a way that's convincing to the person it's talking to.
People really hate you 😭 for like. Existing?????
I'm used to it lmfaoooo
well aren't you special for having the privilege of not having to use a disability aid when you can't think as clearly. i am neurodivergent so my brain gets tired. i get brain fog from other stuff too all the time. sometimes audhd just works like that.
Bro AI is not a disability aid STOP lmao
I can also assure you that even severe AuDHD does not give you an excuse. Like, okay. Let's remove the ethical and environmental concerns for a sec. A bot that thinks for you isn't aiding you in accomplishing a task. It is doing that task for you. That's why it's not even close to a disability aid. Even if it's editing something you wrote for instance... that instance would be like saying spellcheck is a disability aid for dyslexics or people who struggle to type.
And I'm gonna be fair- I think if it wasn't bad for the environment, didn't tell people to kill themselves (I know they supposedly fixed that part lol), and didn't steal information and art, didn't just hallucinate and pump out false info, wasn't designed to validate people to the extent that lonely people fall victim to it and become attached (if you're in that boat I genuinely feel for you), there could be good uses for AI. COULD, in a perfect world. There's potential. I know people who have asked it something casually like "what could this symptom be" and were encouraged to see a doctor and literally treated something they didn't know they had that would have gotten worse. But as it is now, I really don't like it nor do I trust most people with it and think that despite cases like that here and there, it's a net negative.
AI in a broad sense isn't always bad- there's AIs that are getting good at detecting cancer but leaning on generative AI, which is very different, isn't good for so many reasons and I really REALLY don't like when people use disability as an excuse.
Like okay I don't get vulnerable here but like, I used to do digital art a lot. Now because of multiple Things, it's way, way harder for me and looks like ass (I surprise myself on occasion but the strain is too painful to even commit to it tbh). I also used to write. A lot. I still do, but now it's incredibly difficult and easy to get stuck. Things stop making sense. Text blurs. The wind blows in the wrong direction and I get a migraine. Well, the continuous one gets worse. And losing that stuff is heartbreaking. Which is why I'm not even like, mad at this ask I literally can't clown on you (much) anymore because you made me sad. So thanks a lot.
And I so so so don't want anyone to feel bad for me like, not to sound like the "I was born with glass bones and paper skin" mf from Spongebob it really just is what it is, even if it's ass.
And sometimes I get recommended weird ass AI subreddits (I'm not in any idk why it shows me these lmfao) and so many times I see people go "I'm disabled. I can't draw/write/process easily because of pain/ADHD/fibro fog/whatever so AI helps me and privileged able bodied neurotypical people just don't get it!!" and it irks me to imply that disabled people need a machine to think and create art and have human experiences for them. Then they'll claim they made the art or wrote the poem when they literally didn't but feeling like they did is comforting.
Anyway, I bet your GPT has been telling you I'm insane and bigoted and want you to die. I'm being hyperbolic obviously and this wasn't supposed to be like, a whole thing but I think this ask got to me. And not in the way you probably wanted it to. Because this ask tells me a lot about how you're utilizing AI. And the way you came at me angry it just felt like a lot of frustration like not just at me but also whatever your situation is?? I can't reciprocate ur energy bro ur kinda breaking my heart
I'm actually really sad for you because I've known people who relied on AI so much and it's deadass like a toxic relationship because all their ideas are validated and so much is just done for them that they're not interacting with people the way they should. They start relying on that shit for interaction on a basic level and it literally becomes almost like an addiction.
Like whatever you got going on, if your thoughts are messy or foggy, I would truly rather you dump your messy and foggy thoughts (or take a break and rest if you need honestly). I'll judge slop ass responses and em dashes and shit but not the way you communicate when your brain's chugging. I'd rather talk to you than respond to some fuckass output generated by AI. If you're struggling to articulate something like, that's okay. Happens to me all the time. Sometimes I'm coherent and sometimes I reread something I said and I have no idea what opinion I was trying to express at the time but all I can tell is that when I wrote it I was locked in lmao. But incoherent, insanely verbose mess and all, I can at least say those thoughts were mine y'know?
I can't stop you from using AI but I ain't here to talk to your chatbot. But if it's something you feel like you can't stop using at any time... that's something to think about.
kids these days really would rather let a machine that uses 400 tanks of water every time they press enter do their thinking and learning for them than do real research and that is the saddest part of all of this
The audacity to dump slop in my inbox lmfaoooo
Also I've seen so much AI and based on the quality of the response bro horked up, I'm pretty sure they're using the free version and not an up to date model. Like I didn't really second guess it on first read at all I'm just like "dude that's AI".
Which I mean, that's at least good (but still not good bc AI) because they're not paying for that shit. But it means that they get about idk it's probably like 6 or 8 or 10 messages with the slop bot until they gotta wait like, several hours or I think use a shitty ass model instead. People complain about it lolll
You know ai checkers are bullshit right?
A lot of the time they can be. but if it highlights your whole ass ask as AI and not other random asks that I pasted into it so I have a control group... it don't look good.
Like I put like 4 random asks from my inbox and what are the odds they all came up as not AI but with the one I highly suspected was AI, all of the checkers are like "this is very very AI".
One checker falsely flagged like one sentence from another ask too because of the sentence structure, so I don't take it as gospel but like... c'mon, y'know?
it’s far deadlier to ignore that you’re traumatized than it is to be told to stop acting like a disorder that’s caused by trauma is something you can just will into existence or happens without reason because you refuse to do research and acknowledge that people who were hurt will believe that it wasn’t that bad for a lot of reasons and that doesn’t mean that it actually wasn’t that bad
Yeah tbh genuine misinformation that is provably untrue or not supported by evidence is more dangerous.
Especially when it invalidates clinical reality
Whether or not you think endogenic systems exist, people can still be targeted, insulted, excluded, or harassed because they're believed to be endogenic. That's what people mean by "endophobia". You don't have to agree with someone's identity to recognize that hostility toward them exists.
Denying that a group's experiences are valid doesn't demonstrate that prejudice against people who identify with that group doesn't exist— it just shifts the disagreement to a different question. It's not just harmful, it is a potential threat to the mental health of those who identify with these labels.
Hey so, am I talking to the ChatGPT introject?
Because I plugged this into three AI checkers. THREE. They all came back 100%.
If you didn't take the time to write this, I won't take the time to dignify it with a response that you're going to copy-paste and ask for a rebuttal for.
Also it's not good for the environment. :/
hey anon, endophobia already as a definition and it has nothing to do with endogenics.
"Endophobia is an aversion, disdain, or rejection toward one's own cultural identity, ethnic group, or nation."
find another word
That's also true.
Sometimes people use "pluralphobia" but if someone's discriminating against people on the basis of having multiple identity states, that's ableism.
And that can come in many forms it's not like ableism against pw like, autism has its own label so it doesn't really need to be its own thing imo
it's your mindset that kills people and enables the abuse of endogenic systems for not being "plural enough". clearly you don't care. you have posts invalidating endophobia when you yourself are endophobic.
that is an ugly, hateful, and disgusting way to think. your mindset that people can believe what they want but you don't believe them is still invalidating as much as you pretend it is tolerant. it reminds me of people who don't believe the woman or don't believe a victim of racist police brutality but say "i'm sorry you feel like that happened to you"
Three questions.
Do you believe literally anything that anyone says about a subjective experience? Like if someone said "my dog communicates with me telepathically because our souls are connected" would it be wrong to not believe them while accepting their right to believe it? Because my response would be something like "Oh! Okay! Never really heard of that but I totally get loving your dog very very much I love my dogs too" but if they went "yeah and he can control my body sometimes sorta like DID" I'd be like "Well, that's not really...". Like it sounds silly but there's probably a pluralpedia label for what I just described, or something close to it!
Where tf did that last part come from and how tf is that comparable to denying racism and female victims of domestic violence (I think is what you're implying)???
Have you perhaps checked your home for toxic mold? It's more common than you think.
Are you a narc?insist?
apparently so!
Hell of a way to show how against ableism endos are /s
deadass lmfaoo
Have you experienced covert incest?
what compelled you i am genuinely curious
YOU need to check yourself because your narcissism is showing. your opinions are killing people because you are invalidating the existence of others.
ask yourself why YOU get to decide what is going on in someone's head. why does somebody need to fill YOUR requirements to be allowed to exist?
your posts are incredibly disturbing and incredibly ableist. the fact that you don't see that is disgusting.
Who have I killed? That's a pretty serious allegation. I feel like if my opinions are causing active suicidality (you didn't specify suicide so maybe it's spontaneous combustion idk), blocking me would be the best option here.
Please do not kill yourself because you don't like my posts. I'm just a guy that cares too much about stuff not to get all neurodivergent about it.
I do my best to respond to asks/posts and write posts with up to date clinical information. If I've gotten something wrong, factually, please let me know and cite your sources. I'll correct myself. I don't mind doing that. I've done it before.
I don't know who I'm being ableist to though, quite frankly. I hope not the ones who claim not to have the disorder.
I also don't think we should be throwing "narcissism" around. Honestly it's lost its meaning. I also insist in many of my posts that I am not here to decide what your subjective experience is. If you think God put a little guy in your head, or you were born with one or something, I'm not going to deny your subjective experience. If that carries meaning for you and makes your life better, I'm glad to hear it.
Like, while this is not the same thing, for me it's similar to someone telling me "I had an amazing spiritual experience and talked to an angel" I don't have to believe in angels to go "hey, I'm glad that meant something to you and that sounds pretty beautiful". Again, I've stated this many times. I don't know who is dying because of my disgusting and dangerous opinions here.
I however have made it clear that I do not believe that the brain can create autonomous states functionally similar or identical to CDDs through a mechanism separate from structural dissociation. There's a lot we don't know about the brain, but there is a lot that we do know or can reasonably theorize through decades of CDD research and clinical evidence. I understand that "plurality" can mean a lot of different things to people. Some don't claim states to be autonomous, that's not who I'm really talking about unless they're crossing boundaries and invading CDD spaces or claiming an identical experience or being ableist or whatever.
I can validate its meaning for you when you say "My favorite characters live in my head because I willed them there". If that helps you, I don't have to believe that characters can literally be isekaied or manifested into your brain. This is also how I view tulpas on a surface level. Like good for you, as long as you're not suggesting it to be comparable to a dissociative disorder.
While I can accept personal anecdotes and respect one's beliefs, I do not have to validate "I'm endogenic and because I willed my favorite characters into my head, my headmates have different autobiographical memories and experience switches, co-consciousness, variations in affect, interpersonal relationships, varied access to information (AKA the ability for one part to tell another something they didn't know), and autonomy. It might look exactly like a CDD, but it isn't so I wish people would stop thinking I claim to have alters or experience structural dissociation, though :/"
Jumped when I saw you on my dash. It’s nice to see you posting again!
thank u!!
