hiiiiya my name's mallow!!! - pikmin i love pikmin. pikmin's my number one hyperfixation rn and i'm posting a bunch of art about it and reblogging others pikmin stuff :3 my favourite character is louie, russ, or yonny - splatoon!!!!!!! i love splatoon so much. i'm a custom range blaster, mini splatling, and sloshing machine main (although i also use tentatek splattershot and splatana wiper now and then) and my favourite idols are callie, marina, and frye!!! frye's my favourite out of anyone though. TEAM FUTURE FOR THE WIN BTW!!! - spy x family- I just recently started reading the manga (I'm on number 3 rn) and I LOVE it. my favourite character is loid but I would kill for Anya and yor too - lilsimsie's Bell legacy/nightmare legacy challenge (the sims 4) i think it's a crime that there's no fanart of this series. GO WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE IF YOU LIKE THE SIMS!!!! IT'S SO COOL AND LILSIMSIE'S AN AMAZING PERSON!!!! favourite character is hands down nina but i'm partial to dory, blue, and eugene as well. - spooky month!!!! i won't post about it much here but around halloween i'm gonna be rewatching it then so expect a bit of art ehehe (my favourite character is pump, robert, or radford!!) - professor layton!!! GOD i adore prof. layton so much. i haven't played any of the games yet (tragedy on planet earth) but i have watched playthroughs of the first three plus spectres call, and know the plots of Azran Legacy and Miracle Mask through osmosis. favourite character hands down is either luke or flora - lackadaisy!!! oh man i love that cat comic. once the show starts coming out expect a TON of lackadaisy content coming your way (favourite character is freckle, ivy, or wick. i am a thorough enjoyer of the mcmurray-rickaby cousins) - wings of fire!!! I LOVE DRAGONS. my favourite arc is the third one and my favourite characters are sunny, qibli, turtle, blue, swordtail, luna, and cricket (basically the entire cast of the third arc is my beloved) - VARIOUS OTHER STUFF, including but not limited to pokemon, anything by rick riordan, in stars and time, undertale/deltarune, the sims, earthbound/MOTHER, the owl house, tomodachi life/miitopia, warrior cats, clangen, and lots more!!!!

IT’S FINALLY DONE!!!

After nearly a full year of work, the LAYTON WRAPPED 2025 PDF is finally done!! If you’re not sure what LW2025 is, it’s a project I’ve been working on since February of this year. On February 21st, I posted a poll to my tumblr page with questions about favourite ships and characters, preferences between voice actors, opinions on sequels, and similar things, just to see what my fellow Layton freaks are up to with these things. I expected it to get maybe 50 responses, I’d make a post talking about the results the next day, and it’d be over.

Well, the form got 224 responses in less than a day! Which sort of inspired me to make something more creative and pretty to present my data, in collaboration with some of the most lovely, talented artists in our community! The project took literally FOREEEEVER, given that every conceivable life event happened to me between posting the poll and getting this post out, but I’m grateful for everyone’s patience as I worked hard to get it out!! I swear that LW2026 will not take this long, as I’ll post the poll in May and try to have the PDF out in July or August, now that I know how to tackle a project like this!

Once again, thank you all so much for your support. It has meant more to me than I can possibly express. This community is so delightful and strange, and I hope that you can smile as you read through all the data and look at the beautiful art made by all these lovely friends we have here in the fandom!! (Credits are below the cut!~) This project has been a massive labor of love, and I hope that love comes across in all the work I've done here! Everyone, please enjoy the LAYTON WRAPPED 2025 PDF!!!

this art that appears the end of demo 2 is fucking killing me not only did luke build/repair the frog mech by himself but his infant son coindar was there to help with fuck all else other than imitating him. building heavy machinery and becoming a father at 14 luke triton wouldve killed it as a early 1900s factory worker destined to die young in his mentors arms while lamenting he wont get to see herbert hoover die

ive just noticed that demo 2 of nwos makes a minor UF retcon, but one that i think improves the story

at the end of UF the letter luke sent asking him to come to america is implied to have been the first letter luke sent hershel since moving, which always has felt off to me

they appear to have retconned this in nwos however because hershel isnt surprised by luke’s growth spurt and is able to describe exactly what he looks like (implying he has photos of him) and also says in an environment dialogue blurb that luke never told him steam bison has a monorail, implying luke has described the city to him possibly at length

so they’d probably been writing regularly before luke asked hershel to come, which is way more accurate to both of their characters. there were tears in hershel’s eyes when luke left him and he stood for hours watching that ship sail away until it completely out of sight. you cannot expect me to live in a world where they were not making the overseas postal service hate them

#part of me really REALLY wants this to be true #but the other half me ADORES the angst of the other situation #like. luke takes the “we'll be fine apart” thing too seriously and gets it in his head that layton would be bothered #if he wrote #and layton doesn't get a letter and just thinks "oh he must be so busy making new friends #“i don't want to bother him”#and they're both stuck in the cycle of “he hasn't written to me so he must be alright”#and they have to confront that when they come back together #both skirting around their feelings and trying So hard not to start sobbing “I MISSED YOUUUUUUUU”#it may be atrociously out of character but I enjoy the thought #perhaps the funnier part of the letter retcons is that they removed the line where he says “i'm making new friends”#they changed it to “i'm enjoying myslef”.#like. hino. why'd you do him like that?????#is he actually just That Bad at talking to other kids????????#level5 why'd you do it #ANYHOW. apologies #nwos #professor layton

sorry for constantly flooding the layton tag with my each and every thought and sometimes the same thought more than once. this happens every time nwos gets an update, and will happen many more times

anyway unrelated / maybe related to nwos: it makes me want to climb walls and vanish into a vent when i think about not only luke saw claire return to her time to die but also luke RUNNING to try to DO SOMETHING when claire rounded the corner and hershel is fucking LOOKING AT HIM like THIS

ive know ive at length talked about how, if it really is true that the spinoffs are divorced from canon, i want hershel in nwos or whatever the fuck else level-5 wants to do with the timeline to be able to find family in luke (and flora ideally, but i dont trust l5 to include her). i dont want him to be alone like that. and i know, and he knows, and claire knows he'll stay strong, but for the love of god, stop fucking making it to where he has to be after 6 games of it, after luke in particular saw THIS SHIT happen to him

it doesnt even have to fucking be that deep. hershel does not have to look at the camera at the end of nwos and say I Am Not Alone I Have Two Beautiful Children I Stole From Their Biological Dads like literally just. move luke back to london. or move HERSHEL to steam bison to stay with him. flora too she'll literally love it its full of fucked up robots just like st mystere. if this really is its own timeline then literally anything can happen

but after so strongly establishing at least luke as someone that knows hershel as he actually is, not a stoic perfect unflinching gentleman but a man utterly driven by a fear of loss, condemning him SOME MORE to separation SUCKS SO MUCH ASS. get hino on the phone right now. DO NOT LEAVE HIM ALONE
