“Mega Evolution? Some Pokemon can use a special stone to take a temporary ‘super’ form in battle. There’s a minor region called Torren that has a special stone for your species; got some move tutors that can teach Eevees moves that normally only their evolutions can learn. I’ve been around there and it’s honestly pretty cool. Pieter has, too.”

“Woooah.. A place like that really exists? Mega evolution..” The mention of it being temporary did ease his worries, “Really? Pieter’s been there too? Has he been able to make any of his Pokemon mega evolve? What about you?” His tail was beginning to wag side to side, childlike excitement sparkling in his eyes.

“I wonder what a mega evolved Eevee looks like..!”

"Heeeey, I think I recognize you. You're that little Eevee that Piet befriended, yeah?"

Levi's kneeling down, trying to get as even to eye contact with the little fox as he could... not an easy task. "I think I was still a Dratini the last time I saw you."

"Piet..?" He paused for a moment, pondering, before ears shot up, "Pieter!"

The tiny Eevee jumped to his feet, tail wiggling in excitement, "Yes! Yes, I remember! I know you! You're so big now!"

[Sizing] - Due to the mistreatment of his trainer while he was still inside of his egg, Eevee hatched far too early, and because of this his growth has been severely stunted. He’s much smaller, about half the size of a normal, ‘healthy’ Eevee kit, making his size classification ‘Pygmy’.

“Veevee!” Ah yes there he is; one of the few humans to ever earn his trust! The little one is going to step around the food just for a moment, long enough to give Kenny an affectionate headbutt to his leg, before chowing down.

..Does he want to know what’s going on? ..Not really.

Kenny is approaching very slowly, trying not to scare the little eevee. Maybe he'll put a tiny bit of pokemon food out in front of him as a peace offering?

“Vee?” His ears perked at the sound of someone approaching, fur bristling as he gave a growl of warning.. only for barred teeth and pinned ears to quickly become replaced with a look of confusion, leading to recognition.

He knew this stranger! It had been a long time since they met before, but this man had saved him!  Eevee trained his eyes on Kenny’s face, but his tail gave a soft waggle as the man approached, earning him a small yip in greeting.

“Vee!” He wasn’t going to run this time.

    Upon closer inspection, this Eevee was in terrible shape. The fearful demeanor they displayed was bad enough without the matted way the fur stuck out.  Green frowned. It wasn’t a new thing; the mistreatment of Eevees. It was why he made the sanctuary for them after all. Maybe he could help this one too. 

 “Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you.” To prove his point, he unhooked his belt and place it, along with his pokeballs and tools, off to the side. Instead, his hands went for his bag and pulled out a bag of Pokepuffs, tossing it in front of him to the poor little Eevee. 

 “You’ve been through a lot, huh?” Green sat back to allow the pokemon some  space. “I’ve got an eevee friend too. She’s an Umbreon now, of course.  But maybe I could help you out.”

Upon seeing the Pokepuff, he was ready to dive forward, with the full intent to snatch it up and run. However, the small eevee hesitated, ears perking up at the mention of his own companion. Green used the word ‘friend’, one he wasn’t too sure he’d ever heard someone call their pokemon before -- not any of the trainers he’d run into anyway, and certainly not his own.

“Eevee?” He was curious, glancing between the trainer to his discarded pokeballs, not at all sure if he could trust his words.

Food came first however, as the hungry pokemon slowly leaned forward, eyes trained on Green as he took a small bite of the pokepuff. The sweet taste of the icing brought him closer, and finally his focus had left Green all-together, chowing down as though he hadn’t eaten in quite some time.

And how are you today?

“Yugi~!” Eevee squealed, hopping up to greet the boy with a delighted squeal, tiny paws attempting to wrap around his arm, or wherever the tiny boy could reach. “I missed you! I’m doing okay, how are you?”

   They didn’t happen often, but the days Green got to relax were ones he took very seriously. Even his phone was switched to silent in order to make sure he could have an actual day he could be on his own. 

 The gym leader sat just above the tall grass, watching the wild pokemon frolic here and there. No worries. Nothing to bother anyone. 

 It was the tiny Eevee he caught sight of that finally stirred his attention. Right there in front of him, Green leaned forward and tilted his head. That was the smallest little thing he’s ever seen! 

 “Hey little guy,” He cooed softly. “You want something to eat?”

It wasn’t his best idea, but what choice did he have?

Eevee slowly approached the trainer, ears down and his body low, keeping his already tiny body as close to the ground as he could muster. He was weak and hungry, with bits of dirt and mud caked into his fur and coating his legs.

As he was spoken to, the Pokemon’s ears flicked and brown eyes peered up at the other as he leaned closer. 

“Vee?” The offer of food had the kit’s full attention, as the Pokemon took a few steps even closer, nose twitching as he began to sniff around him. All he needed was one good swipe of food and he could run for it, before this trainer tried to catch him or battle with him.
