Sooo... My headcannons for this ship goes like this;

Dandy isn't a villain. He is just a silly goofer who got betrayed by his own owner later and turned emo later–

Shrimpo always had feelings for dandy since the beginning, but dandy doesn't notice it. But still, shrimpo never insulted him and just stayed silent whenever he was near...

So to help test his new skills obviously he's going to drag Shrimpo to do his dirty work with him

If you're wondering what Dandy is talking about check out this post, but basically Dandy helps Shrimpo practice floors without the death risk

These two stupid idiot dumbasses both cannot handle being given affection. While Dandy is usually good at acting he can't quite do it with something he isn't used to. Meanwhile Shrimpo is Shrimpo, he wouldn't expect affection in a million years and boy does he hate the dumb faces and emotions that come as a result of it.

Ah they're so opposite that it ends up looping back around where they end up being exactly the same.

One's at the top, the star of the show that no other toon could hope to compete with.

The other is at the bottom, a bully who steers others away and only brings hassle and anger...atleast everyone thinks so.

Both isolated by their position for completely different reasons

Shrimpo is forever cursed to be the shortest toon. Even his boyfriend Dandy won't let him have to small victory of barely being the shortest

Shrimpo, obviously, is considered one of the worst toons. Shrimpo doesn't like this (well, Shrimpo says he hates everything but this he actually hates)

Despite never being told directly, Dandy knows for a fact Shrimpo wants to be better at ichor runs, or at the very least not seen as useless.

One day after Shrimpo lets it slip that he hates how people treat him like he's helpless (during runs) Dandy asks if it would be better to practice without risk. Shrimpo doesn't accept directly but asks how it would even be possible to safely practice, Dandy says he can arrange it *if* Dandy is allowed to add goals & stakes to each training session. "Nothing public" he promised "All of this stays between us" . After some mulling Shrimpo quietly and grumpily agrees, and now we're here.

If you couldn't already tell for this session the goal was to complete the floor [4 machs] without getting caught. The consequence? Shrimpo is stuck with Dandy for 30 minutes.

As you can tell Dandy is going to take full advantage of being able to decide the stakes for each session

(Shrimpo will never ever EVER admit he enjoys the consequence for this session)

(...also I shouldn't have to say this but the stakes are never freaky because ew, plus I don't roll that way)
