The summary for THE STILLBORN MOON & THE STOLEN EMBER:

“The Queen is our last remaining tether to the world of humans. Without her, we are all just…animals.”

The fallen angel known only as the Rosefinch has taken a vow with the Night Prince—the second most powerful demon in the High Courts of Hell. The Rosefinch has only just begun to unravel the secrets of the underworld as he finds himself drawn further into the quarrels of a demonic royal family. With fresh wine in hand, the young couple beseeches the Blood Prince for assistance, only to find themselves contending with the False Prince and their silver tongue. The night is endless, and the moon’s light pierces.

The Goal is 3300 dollars! That money goes to funding the book and covering all the production costs so I can maybe make a couple bucks off this! Writing is officially my only means of income so it would be amazing to be able to actually make some money that I can live off of for a while!

If we make our goal, every book will come with a new bookmark designed by peachglumpear! I'm so excited for these!!

Some AU(???) Misaki's. ↑Job briefing & Shh, they're investigating... ↓

#danika doodles #Darker Than Black #I use AU when I actually mean canon divergence but whatever they are the same thing to me #I think exploring the different forms of succession that Misaki could take is interesting and I have a lot of thoughts about it #I keep thinking what if her dad turned himself in or was a sacrificial pawn and Misaki had to quit her job for PR reasons #And then she's faced with these three different paths taken by three different ex-police men in her life #(I always thought it was a bit of a waste that she wasn't given the same (cold) cases that Huang was investigating haha)#I think it would be neat if the canon timeline was moved around a bit and that Misaki was reassigned to fill the gap--#--that Huang left if he happened to die alongside Shihoko (as painful as that is to me bc I love Huang T_T)#Or that she becomes a PI and keeps getting roped into Gai and Kiko's nonsense bc they've been hired by the same client haha #Or that she fights to defend her dad.. or not....... and how that inevitably changes her relationship with her job.....#TL;DR succession plans for Misaki haha #Edit: I forgot to mention that this is why the line about Misaki making “a third choice” has never felt right to me haha #Because we got shown three different choices already so it isn't actually the third choice bc I took it far too literal haha #But I do really like the significance of Misaki staying but doing things her own way #It mirrors Hei really well and I think that mirroring is one of the more successful parts of the show
