We need to seriously consider killing the people that are responsible for the ridiculous hurdles of the job application process. While I don’t love résumés, I can see what use they have. They list the relevant skills and job history you have pertinent to the job you’re applying for. That’s reasonable. Why on God’s good green Earth did we, as a society, accept cover letters as a thing? “Write some fanfic about what you’ll do on that thang if we hire you. Tell us you’ll bounce on it, that you’ll spin and do tricks on it, we wanna read that shit.” How about I stab you with a trident? Hmm, did you consider that? We gotta do cover letters for entry level jobs? “Do this personality test and we’ll see if you’re compatible for the job.” Is this speed dating? Are we about to get married? “Make an account with us, then you can apply for a job.” How about I tie you to five different angry horses? How does that sound?

#REAL #job applications are the WORST #and now i have to learn how to get past the ai filters too....#also what's up with every company's inability to take five minute to copy paste all the rejected applicants emails into the bcc #and send out a mass rejection letter huh?#i spend a whole day customizing a resume and cover letter for you and you can't be bothered to take five minutes and tell me no thanks?#SIX MONTHS OF JOB APPLICATIONS FOR NOTHING BUT RADIO SILENCE I HATE CAPITALISM

does anyone else miss their roleplaying days. like back in high school it was so easy to find an rp community in fandom, now everyone i meet is too busy or isn't interested or we don't vibe on the same level or something. all the apps and websites i used to meet people on are either empty or gone. where have my fellow roleplayers gone? have you all migrated to private discord servers? moved to character.ai (derogatory)? is there anyone left?

What do you roleplay? 👀

Pairings (only canon characters? cc x oc doubles?), genres, whatever! I’ve been looking for some Mcyt roleplays so I just wanna test the waters :)

honestly i haven't had a long-lasting rp in years so im not super picky. the ttsbc au (through the sky blue cracks) has gripped my brain rn and I'd love to rp something in that universe, but i know that's a pretty niche ask so i don't expect it at all. more generally, i mostly watch hermitcraft and the life series, so if im playing a canon character i'd prefer if it were someone from those series. my favourite pairings include scarian, buttercups, flower husbands, ranchers, and shiny duo, but im willing to do others as long as whoever im role-playing with is ok with the fact that i might play a bit out of character since i might not know the character or pairing as well. im also cool with oc x canon. i think the genre i lean into most often is angst, but usually of the hurt/comfort variety, and i enjoy doing romance as well. im also a big fan of the characters being hybrids/being in a universe with a bit of magic.
