He let out a fake gasp at that, knowing full well that the King wouldn’t burn his books. But it never hurt to play along. “Oh no, not my books!” Jaynm exclaimed, releasing Rynn like the King was the one about to be set on fire. But he soon let out a laugh, sitting in a nearby chair. “Surely you wouldn’t set fire to such a collection of literature!” Especially since about half of his books really belonged to the library.

"Don't think I won't--!" He replied, his own hand moving up to fix his precious hair. "Maybe I should mess yours up instead!" That's when he reached over, taking the others locks in both of his hands, and tousling it up; making sure it made the elder look like he just rolled out of bed. Hands went to his hips soon after, a satisfied grin plastered onto his face.

While his arm was around him, and his hand messing up his beautiful hair, the King couldn't help but struggle in his grip. Not again-- "Jaynm! Release me--!" He yelped, trying to pull away. He was supposed to be this king people respected-- but, in reality, he just got bullied by his own personal guard. "I'll burn all your books if you don't--" He wouldn't really, but it's worth a shot.

He knew Kieyu wasn’t as strong as her brother, and her strong suit certainly wasn’t defending herself… But that was beside the point. “I’m still going to worry,” Jaynm told him, reaching up to fix his hair. It went without saying that he would do anything to get the King back if anything happened to him. Even if Jaynm was scared that he wouldn’t be able to be the hero… But he pushed those thoughts from his mind, instead grinning and poking Rynn in the chest. “Granted, I have no idea why anyone would want to take a moron like you, King.”

A sigh of slight irritation brushed passed his lips, always a hassle with the guard. "I know you are-- but I can take care of myself too, okay? I'm not completely useless." That's what he'd like to think, anyways. The Royal also thought the silvered haired boy was a hero-- even if he did fail at his attempt. Nothing could change his viewpoint of him. At the teasing insult, and the poke, the King merely shook his head. "--Perhaps they'll take you instead? Knowing you'd be rendered useless without me around."
