Dandelion Wish-smiths - my page art for the @butchfairyzine !

It was fun to brainstorm what sort of process these fairies would use to shape the raw stuff of wishes into a material to make wings. I ended up having them forge the wish like a metal and then assemble the wings like stained glass.

Please please take a look at the other artists and writers who contributed to this zine because they are all brilliant! What an amazing project to be a part of!

Inspired by mock field guides and faerie folklore, our book combines elements of art, poetry, and short stories to show fairies through a queer lens. We have 30 artists and 6 writers each exploring one of our six themes; garden, house, city, courtly, dark, and wyld!

Y'all I know that when so-called AI generates ridiculous results it's hilarious and I find it as funny as the next guy but I NEED y'all to remember that every single time an AI answer is generated it uses 5x as much energy as a conventional websearch and burns through 10 ml of water. FOR EVERY ANSWER. Each big llm is equal to 300,000 kiligrams of carbon dioxide emissions.

LLMs are killing the environment, and when we generate answers for the lolz we're still contributing to it.

Stop using it. Stop using it for a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g. We need to kill it.
