debbie-baker:
[Debbie gasps when he takes the cup from her hands and very dramatically sings a line from Bette Midler’s ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’, extending her hand out to him] Did I ever tell you you’re my hero? [giggles, dropping her hands by her sides as she lets go of her cup] Cappuccino, double shot, one sugar packet. [she hands him a $10 bill] and get yourself something pretty, Eze. [pats his hand]
[Without getting the reference himself, Ezekiel still mimics Debbie’s expression, his own hand outstretched so the tips of their fingers touch only for a moment before he bursts into chuckles.] Only, uh, pretty much every fucking day, but I’ll take it regardless. [He narrows his eyes when he tells him her order, as if it would help him remember it later.] Uh, okay, cappuccinooo... double shot... one sugar packet. Cap 2-1, gotcha. [He takes the money from her and raises a brow.] Shit, something pretty? Sugar mommy vibes over here, dropping tens on me: what a flex. Real talk, though, why can’t you go in there? I’d ask if the Boogeyman’s inside, but that sounds like exactly the kind of place we’d die to go to.
