Imagine y/n is Gibbs’ significant other and you take Gibbs out to KBBQ or hot pot for the first time. I feel like Gibbs’ reaction would be something along the lines of the this:
Gibbs: Y/n what the hell is this?
Y/n: *giggling* Whattt? You like to cook steak over a fire, how is this any different?
Gibbs: Yeah steak. Not whatever the hell this Fruit Roll-Up beef is.
hey, I mean this super duper kindly and just as a heads up, but if you censor your warnings (like s**f h**m instead of self harm), it means that filtering systems can't identify those words and therefore, people with those triggers won't be able to filter them out properly. also for longer/dark/NSFW content it's typical to use a read more so people don't have to scroll through the whole thing! ❤️❤️ Wishing you all the best
I just wanted to thank you and anyone else who have helped me with Tumblr! I thought censoring would help but it seems that I've been negating the effect I wanted to achieve. Also, I never knew "a read more link" was a thing! I thought Tumblr automatically did that. Thank you so much for educating me!
Warnings: Minimal swearing, mentions of death, minimal mentions of self harm
Pairings: dad!Gibbs x reader, Hotch x fem!reader
A/N: Hello readers, thank you for sticking around. Here's the requested part 3! If you haven't read part 2, go back and do so. First off, I am so sorry it took so long! I just finished my first year of university a month ago. I hate leaving things unfinished so I'm coming back to this. This chapter is kind of a drag because it is all plot stuff but I'm hoping the story will be done with two more parts! As always, feel free to critique me and/or leave requests! Thanks for reading! <3
Leroy and Aaron quickly rushed to you. The blast was weak but strong enough to render you unconscious. Aaron called his team while Leroy dialed 911.
“Stay with us y/n,”.
Coma Dream
Flashback to when you were 17
Leroy was about to ship out for another deployment. Lucky for you, he’d be there for the holidays. He decided to take you, Kelly, and Shannon, on a trip to his cabin he built but never got to use. Snow was gently falling. Leroy started a fire while your mom made you and your sister hot chocolate. Kelly draped a blanket over the two of you as you sipped your warm beverage. You turned towards Kelly the same time Kelly turned towards you. The two of you burst into a fit of laughter because whipped cream covered your noses. Shannon shook her head moving out of her spot to get you both napkins. Leroy admired the scene from afar, his blue eyes softened and filled with content. He couldn’t imagine a better way to spend time with his family.
Once everyone was settled, you all exchanged gifts. Kelly gifted you a locket with a picture of you two sticking your tongues out and making a silly face. Funny enough, you gifted Kelly the same thing. Shannon gifted Leroy a vintage wooden hand plane and he gifted her a small wooden boat.
The rest of the day was spent enjoying every moment with the family before the inevitable deployment happened.
As soon as the holidays were over, Leroy shipped out, the family outing now just a past memory.
It was a crisp January morning. You were running a high fever resulting in you missing school. Shannon drove Kelly to school that day and where it all went downhill.
You saw the news on TV and you couldn’t believe your eyes. Your mom and your sister were dead. You needed to reach your dad but you knew that was wishful thinking. It was impossible to reach him whenever he was deployed. With tears falling fast, you did the next best thing and called Leroy’s friend.
You hid because those same people might go after you next. In hiding, it was only you and your thoughts. You drove Kelly to school everyday. It should’ve been you. And for that, you hated yourself. At that moment, you hated your father. But, you also knew he was the only one who’d be able to help you.

You don’t know how many weeks, maybe even months have passed. All the days started to mend together. You couldn't care less. The pain of losing everything is all consuming. There was nothing worth living for. You decided today was the day as you grabbed the bottle of sleeping pills. One bottle. One bottle and all the pain would be gone. Your hands shook as the pills rattled into your palm. You closed your eyes, took a deep breath, and felt a stinging pain. Your eyes shot open and were faced with your father in front of you.
In true Gibbs fashion, his timing is impeccable and smacked the pills out of your hand.
All your anger returned and you pushed Leroy with whatever force you had. You fell to the ground defeated. Leroy crossed the room and engulfed you in a hug. You broke down, finally feeling safe enough to do so.

Present day at the hospital
“Damnit Gibbs, why isn’t she waking up? The doctor said she’s stable and should’ve been awake within a couple hours after surgery. It’s been a almost a day and a half”
With a knowing glint in his eyes, Gibbs answered Aaron’s question. “She doesn’t want to.”
“And you’re not going to tell me why.”
Looking at the locket you never took off, Gibbs responded with, “Not my story to tell.”

Hotch decides that the best thing he can do for you is to work the case so he returns back to the BAU. His team has many questions but know better than to ask their unit chief. They gather in the conference room and begin working the case.
Hotch started the discussion with, “what do we know?”
“Y/n enlisted in the marines when she was 18 shortly after…” Garcia’s voice trailed off.
“Shortly after what Garcia?”
“After Pedro Hernandez murdered her mom and sister,” Garcia responded with a sniffle.
JJ added, “Y/n Gibbs doesn’t exist after she enlisted. I’m assuming because Jethro Gibbs has a long list of enemies.”
“Garcia, what can you find on y/n y/l/n?”
Moments pass and Garcia is puzzled. “Y/n y/l/n barely exists. The basic info is there but everything else is classified.”
Morgan, trying to bring morale up speaks up, “Baby Girl work your magic and unclassify the info.”
“Aw it’s cute that you’re trying. But I’d be breaking a dozen federal laws.”
Prentiss adds on by saying, “So now you’re afraid? You’ve done so before.”
Before the conversation went even more out of hand, Rossi tells everyone to “quit it” and asks, “Who classified the info?”
“Secretary of the Navy.”
The team continued digging into your life to try and make sense of it all. Hours passed and they still were nowhere closer to finding out who wanted you dead.
A wave of realization put Reid into a ramble. “We’ve been looking for hours and what did we come up with? Everyone who could want y/l/n dead is dead or the file is classified. How can the unsub figure out who she is if even we can’t get into the files? Any government agency would have been on alert if there were to be a breach.”
It was already late and Hotch decided to send everyone home and they’d regroup tomorrow morning. Right as the team began packing up, Gibbs and his team swarmed in.
“Aaron Hotchner, you’re under arrest for the attempted murder of y/n y/l/n.”
Sorry I haven't been posting! I move into dorms and then start my first year of college soon after. I hope you all are doing well, drink water, and thanks for checking out my page <3
A/N: Hello readers, here's the requested part 2! If you haven't read part 1, go back and do so. I've decided that this will be a full story. Currently I'm not sure how many parts it'll take to tell this story. Stick around if you're interested because I have something up my sleeve hehe. With that being said, the title is changed to "Federal Gambit". Originally it was a play on words but I needed it to be more fitting to the story. As always, feel free to critique me and/or leave requests! Thanks for reading! <3
If looks could kill, you easily would have had life in prison. Your icy blues refusing to break eye contact with Aaron who was still currently on the floor. Aaron decided he was tired of your bullshit and rolled his eyes.
“Looks like another staring contest won y/n/n! I’ve taught you well. Now if only you’d join my team at NCIS already-”
“Leroy, with the utmost respect please shut the fuck up. I have to diffuse this situation and babysit you two asshats.”
Aaron was clearly holding a grudge so you approached him and pulled him up only to drop him back onto the floor.
“Relax, that ought to knock some sense into you. And when you’re ready to have a conversation, feel free to join the adults over here. Ok? Ok.” You finished with a smile.
You were a Gibbs alright. Even though you took your mom’s last name, you were without a doubt Leroy’s kid. Lucky for you, people never thought to connect the dots which you were grateful for. The original Gibbs was a lot to handle but two? A dynamic duo for sure but the world was not prepared. Currently you are enjoying being a civilian. After your last deployment, you decided that you wanted a change of scenery. More importantly, you wanted some time to figure out which federal agency was the perfect fit for you.
Aaron groaned and pushed himself off the floor. He had a job to do. Ignoring the fact that he just got his ass kicked by an “old” agent, he walked over to you and Leroy and cleared his throat.
“I have a multitude of questions.”
“Do they pertain to your case?” Leroy retorted.
Aaron’s resting face returned and Leroy took that as his answer.
“You can ask y/n two questions. Rest will wait until you find who’s after her.”
Aaron pondered for a couple minutes and figured out what he wanted to ask.
“Why do you call him Leroy? No one in any agency calls him that. It’s either ‘Agent Gibbs’ or if one’s close enough, ‘Jethro’.”
“Mom had a special nickname for him. I wanted something that only I was allowed to use so I started calling him Leroy.” You genuinely answered.
Aaron nodded in acknowledgement before proceeding to ask his final personal question.
“Why’d you take your mom’s last name?”
“Leroy knew he would make a lot of enemies. For my protection, he and my mom agreed that I’d take her last name.”
There were still many unanswered questions but the three of you knew it was time for business. For heaven’s sake, someone was trying to kill you. First and foremost, the two men started poking around your life. You went to public school, marine brat, and enlisted to the Marine Corps straight out of high school just as Leroy was discharged and took a position at NCIS. Leroy made sure it was nearly impossible to trace you back to him and you made sure of the same thing. You and your dad were high profile. As Leroy and Aaron recounted your past, you quickly grew anxious and made sure not to show it. Granted it was just the basics but still, talking about your past was something you never did. Leroy was the only one who knew some details but was not about to out you unless absolutely necessary. Rule number four.
Aaron had enough of your deafening silence and Leroy's withholding of information and snapped at you.
“Y/n, can you think of any enemies?”
“Either dead or classified. Next question.”
“What were your missions when you were deployed?”
“Classified. And your security clearance isn’t high enough. Plus I don’t talk about my past.”
“Damn it y/n. Work with me here.”
“Believe me, I’m trying.”
“Try harder.”
“You don’t think I wanna catch the person behind this? How many times has someone come after you? Like what, once? Twice? People have been coming after me since I was eighteen. Part of the job being a sniper. That’s nearly a decade filled with names you hope to never hear again, relatives you hope to never see again, and time lost while hiding which you hope to never do again.”
Aaron took one step closer to you. Your faces just inches apart and him staring into your y/e/c orbs.
“The difference between you and I? You don’t have a fucking family. My wife was murdered and my son was next-”
You froze and averted your gaze away from Aaron as he continued to bitterly spew words at you. Glancing behind Aaron to Leroy, you saw that he froze too. Leroy discretely signed, “Did you know?” You shook your head ever so slightly. “Does he know?” Same response. Leroy sighed.
Had you known, you wouldn’t have gone that far. That was a low blow and you knew it. Working up all your courage, while looking down, you whispered, “Stop.” It was of no use. Tears were streaming down your face and when you finally looked up at him, you saw his stone cold face. Aaron made it a point to make you feel worse than you already were feeling. Leroy approached the two of you and gently pulled you away from Aaron. He looked at Aaron and sincerely uttered, “Y/n said ‘stop’.”
For not letting things affect you, you were shaken up. You needed a break so you went to your kitchen to fetch a glass of water. In the distance, you could hear Aaron and Leroy continue to discuss the case. You firmly gripped the kitchen counter, trying to process everything that was happening. A phone rang in the distance and you assumed it was someone letting Aaron know he had a case even though Leroy had already told him. You finally open your cupboard and was met with a blast.
A/N: I recently joined Tumblr to share random fics that I come up with. Apologies in advance if the grammar/writing is awful. I'm an engineering major and this is all purely for fun in my free time. Feel free to critique me and/or leave requests! Thanks for reading! <3
Summary: A mystery man is in your apartment. How will the love of your life, Hotch, react? More importantly, how do you know Gibbs?
You looked into Aaron’s dark brown eyes. There was a sparkle which only made you smile.
“What is it y/n?” a smile playing on his lips as he grabbed one of your hands and started to caress it gently.
“Nothing…I just…I’m in love with you Aaron Hotchner.”
“Miss y/l/n, I’m in love with you too.”
“Would you like to come over? Watch a movie before you leave for the night?”
“I would love to.”
Hand in hand, you and Aaron paid for your meals and left the restaurant.
Upon arriving at your apartment, you unlocked the door and the two of you went inside. Aaron saw a figure at your window and shoved you behind him while drawing his weapon.
“Who the hell are you and what do you want?” Aaron sternly shouted.
Despite seeming calm, he was seething with anger on the inside. He cannot believe there is another man standing in your living room. Why would he have a key? Did he break in? Are you cheating on him? Aaron could not think straight but being an FBI agent, it was his job to protect you.
The mystery man let out a chuckle and turned around. You immediately recognized the voice and released a sigh before addressing him.
“Leroy, what the fuck are you doing here at,” you looked at your watch, “2100?”
Gibbs threw daggers at you but you knew and he knew that he wouldn’t be there unless it was an emergency. The least he could’ve done was call beforehand but that wasn’t his style.
At this moment, Gibbs decided to humor himself. He smirked and walked over to you pulling you into a hug all while his eyes were trained on Aaron. To piss Aaron off, Gibbs kissed your cheek.
Aaron tensed up. After holstering his weapon, he walked towards where you and Gibbs are and proceeded to look Gibbs dead in the eyes.
“Gibbs, back the hell away from y/n. You missed your shot. She’s mine.”
You started to get uncomfortable so you gave Leroy a look and he knew what you were thinking. He nodded and you turned to walk away.
Aaron caught your wrist tightly. You were afraid to look into his eyes but he grabbed your jaw and forced you to look at him. You saw the tears at the brim of his eyes and tears of your own threatened to fall.
“That’s enough Hotchner,” Gibbs commanded, walking towards you two.
“Y/n, what the fuck does Gibbs have that I don’t? I thought you loved me? Or do you just screw every old federal agent that you come across?”
You were too stunned to speak so you just dropped to your knees.
“Who are you calling old Hotchner?” Without second thought, Aaron approached Gibbs and was about to swing but Gibbs beat him and struck him first, hard.
The famous smirk returned to Gibbs’ face and he told the two of you why he was there as he got you off the ground.
“Y/n, someone is trying to kill you. Bad news, since you are not an active marine and technically I’m off duty, your boyfriend over here has been tasked to be your protection detail. It’s his jurisdiction.”
“Where'd the intel come from?” you inquired.
“Director and since no one knows you and I are related, I figured why not say hi in the process,” Gibbs responded.
“Leroy, you’re a bastard. I hate you.”
“Get creative y/n. That’s what all my ex wives say when they see me.”
Aaron was still on the floor holding his nose trying to stop the bleeding. Leroy extended his hand to Aaron, who looked at it with disgust, and proceeded to introduce himself.
Hotch: *on the phone with his team* For tonight's get together, I bought apple juice, orange juice, grape juice, and fruit punch for the kids. Any other requests?
Spencer: In little pouches, boxes, or out of the carton?
