        He’s standing, with Midoriya sat on the floor in front of him, a guard on either side.  It had been difficult to transport All Might’s heir here, but with a tranquilizer, it had become much less trouble.  Apparently it had worn off as they walked into the Eight Precepts office, but a gun to the back was enough to keep the child in line so far.

          “I’ve heard of some unusual things about your quirk, Izuku Midoriya,” he says, hands in his pockets.  “I’ve brought you here to offer you a business proposition.”

“Right. Do you explain that to everyone you kill, too?” His voice comes dryly, despite who he’s staring down. He doesn’t even really know why he’s here– Or, well, he DOES, after a series of events involving a rather threatening letter; but something tells him he could’ve taken a better alternative. Oh well.

Despite his piss-poor attempt at humor, the jitters have a sharp hold on him, ring finger incessantly tapping against the tabletop, glancing over his shoulder. The restaurant was nearly empty (figures, dealing with the mob), but at least there’s a few people shuffling through their pathetic lives, aimless enough to eat a meal here.

He had left Kendou with a message via text, and all it would take was one ‘X’ from him for her to know he was in danger. Which, probably was this whole goddamn ordeal, but…Oh Well.

“I don’t kill people. I’m not sure if the “hero school” thing tipped you off to that or not.”

                    Two of his lackeys move to put Monoma in his place, but Overhaul glances at them and they immediately stop, at least for now.  “You’re treading in deep water, Monoma Neito,” he takes another puff from his cigarette.

                   “I wouldn’t refuse my offer if I was in your position.  To be directly under the head of the Eight Precepts...  You’ll be set up for life if you accept.”

                 “As for killing...  sometimes it’s a necessary evil.  You can’t say that heroes never kill villains.  It’s part of a cycle.  A cycle that I’m trying to stop,” there’s a surprisingly fire-like look in Overhaul’s eyes for once.  “The old ways were better.  People knew their place, who they were supposed to respect.  Hero society has destroyed that.”

                  What an unusual child.  She doesn’t bear much of a resemblance to the old boss, but he knows he still owes a debt to him.  Not that Overhaul has ever been much of a children lover.

                 “I’ll be entrusting you to one of my sons,” not that they’re related by blood, but they’re his kobun, so they may as well be.  “They’ll take good care of you until you’re old enough to be one of us.”
