i’m maintaining this shadow–i’ve polished my flawless mask perfectly, right? that’s right, along with my crowded feelings, a coup d'etat bloomed lethargically. i’m always pretending like i don’t have any flaws WHATSOEVER, recreating all the feelings I’ve lost sight of. the past i drowned out was destroyed by my own ideals. i’ll deceive even myself, SMILE, SMILE!  see, i’m really great at acting, but the real problem is that i feel it’s necessary to deceive!! that’s right, i have a dependence on overacting. so that no one disappears, i continue to fight, living while sealing away my sullied sentimentality, only killing myself, NOW AND ALWAYS.

“Hey.” Timbres are weighed down with a sudden warning, and as lips fold into a tight line, Lee’s expression is practically radiating sternness.  “Watch it there, missy. This isn’t doting — it’s just doing my job as a good friend.” Only after a quiet chuckle does he flash a lopsided grin, looking significantly more like his usual self. “Keep talking like that and you might make me sound like a good person by accident. Geeze.” 

Glancing down, the pause that follows is meant to provide the semblance of deep thought as opposed to anything else. “Why would you even associate with an old fart, anyways? Do they smell less disgusting than fresh farts?” Still, he can’t help but laugh once more; it’s endearing, how she always opts to tease him back ( and hey, it really doesn’t hurt to let her win once in a while — Mizuki’s triumphant face is pretty fun too ).

The package of extra-strength cough and cold medicine emerges after a moment more of rustling plastic bags, and his voice is deadpan when he continues. “The flavor’s your least favorite, but you’re drinking it anyways.” A complete lie, given that Lee has no idea what her favorite or least favorite flavor is, but his ability to keep a straight face is utterly flawless ( likely due to the frequency with which he uses said ability ).

she snickers a little at his comment before hearing his next sentence, and she’s shocked for a grand total of about five seconds before she realizes she’s never actually told lee her preferences to medicinal flavoring, but still, it’s rather convincing, especially with the face he pulls (that is to say, none at all).

You guys know what this is. ;))))) Seriously though. I’ve had this blog for almost half a year and half of my content ended up being sin and shit posting. 10 / 10, would sin again. But it’s about time I said my thanks to those who’ve managed to stick with me through this whirlwind; I am completely humbled that almost 400 of you follow me. You guys managed to make me - someone who is painfully awkward - feel like that they belong somewhere and that is honestly more than I could have ever hoped for. Thank you for choosing my Hinata and for giving me the confidence to go on with him;  thank you for being my friends, my family, my krew, my sin squad, my mlg 360 no scope homies, etc.

Mizuki's gift arrives in her email inbox -- there's nothing too exciting about the automated Starbucks email that comes with the purchase of a $50 virtual gift card, but it's accompanied by a cheery message from everyone's favorite blond joker. 'Merry Christmas, Mizuki,' reads the attached message, followed by, 'Coffee's on me. Ten times.' Attached is an image -- a hastily Photoshopped picture of Mizuki's Facebook profile picture, ten times on ten cups of coffee. What talent.

after the holiday festivities have died down a bit -- ok, a lot -- she decides to check her em-ail in the first time in what feels like years, ev-en though its probably only been a month. 

she’s amassed quite the collection of unread mail, almost 500 messages, in fact, and half of it isn’t even spam and advertisements. sh-e’s about to delete an email from starbucks, but its the fact that its in english that catches her eye. for god’s sake, if you’re going to se-nd spam to a japanese email, why wouldn’t you make it in japanese? ah, but the title -- merry christmas, mizuki! -- this must be from lee.

mizuki clicks on the message and she’s gre-eted with multiple images of her face -- is that her profile picture? -- on coffee, which makes her smile; but being around lee does that, so perhaps its no surprise his messages do too. in any case she’s grateful for the gift, her gat-eway into caffeinated heaven. she sends a quick thank-you message, coupled with a few emoticons and a return edit of a picture of lee’s face on top of the starbucks mermaid’s face. it’sonly fair, right?
