What do you think Perfect AU K.O. and T.K.O. would think of their canon counterparts? I imagine it'd really mess T.K.O. up seeing a version of himself that gave in to all his bad feelings and practically killed everyone he knows

Man oh man, tbh I think both of them would be mortified with themselves.

With T.K.O., I'd say you're pretty spot-on. He's kind of in a constant state of "being aware of the harm he's capable of," crossed with "I don't WANT to be capable of that kind of harm." To see a version of himself that not only gave into his violent impulses, but did the exact thing he fears will eventually happen, AND coupled with the fact that canon T.K.O. can't even really be blamed for crashing out like that, would be a massive psychological wombo combo for Perfect AU T.K.O. I don't think he'd spiral like what I wrote before, now that he has an actual support system he's conscious of and willing to rely on, but my man would NOT be okay.

I don't consider either iteration of K.O. to be that different from one another development-wise; Perfect AU K.O. just has the benefit of reaching an amenable truce and understanding with his bros before any of the nonsense from season 3 went down (as well as the off-screen growing disconnect between him and T.K.O. in the later parts of season 2, but that's a separate conversation in and of itself). He has an actual, healthy (or at least on its way) relationship with his brothers; the dysfunction from canon is way reduced in the AU by virtue of how things have gone down. To know that there's a version out there that would drive T.K.O. to do what he did in season 3 would utterly mortify him. Especially with P.K.O. and their whole angst deal in the picture, K.O. can't fathom that some iteration of him would throw T.K.O. into basically an isolation chamber over some brief rebellion that resulted in pretty much just a big mess. No casualties or anything. Perfect AU K.O. is more likely to ask "hey that was kind of messed up, what's going on" rather than jump right to Banish You Forever to the Ether.

Also M.K.O. as a concept would freak both of them out because 1, an actual literal fusion of themselves? And it's really just K.O. with a palette change and fangs? Let's be so for real T.K.O. is like, not there anymore. And 2, if they really went through final fusion, that means that P.K.O. goes, too. M.K.O. existing means the whole sibling relationship falls apart, and none of them would be okay with losing each other like that, or any part of each other really.

(Also while I do picture the gang as a system, none of them realize that they're plural as of right now in the AU, so the whole mess with M.K.O. and final fusion and T.K.O. being like, perma-dormant or something would be really confusing because huh? We're actually all one guy??? And we can just Become One Guy Forever????? As far as they're concerned, they're siblings that happen to share a body, so becoming one solid being feels kind of like the equivalent to doing some blob monster amalgamation nonsense lmao)

Happy Pride Month everyone! I figured I'd celebrate this month with an art piece wherein I share everyone's identities as they are in the Perfect AU!

(Note: Most of this can be considered a confirmation, but some details are subject to change later on, whether because of the fact that the characters have only just started exploring their identities in-universe, or because my preference in how I want to depict them shifts.)

K.O. is male-female bigender, and while I picture him experimenting with his presentation and referring to himself with more feminine terminology, he exclusively uses he/him pronouns. Though he's wearing ace wristbands, he doesn't fit neatly within the ace label; it might be more apt to say he's cupiorose. In his case, that means he tends to like the activities that would be expected of romantic partners, like kissing or hand-holding, but he doesn't experience attraction towards people in a way that would be expected of those activities. This is true irrespective of the other person's gender. In short, K.O.'s orientation is "I like everyone, but not like that." Dude would thrive in a queerplatonic relationship or several.

P.K.O. is much more subtle in their presentation due to not being sure where they fit within a certain label. He/him is always an acceptable pronoun, and while right now they've indicated a preference towards they/them, they'll likely rotate between neutral pronouns and neopronouns hoping to find one that sticks. They're fairly sure they can consider themself a demiboy, but they find that they don't really vibe with "nonbinary" as a label, at least on its own. They sorta know what their gender feels like, but struggle to find terms that properly encompass it, so they end up collecting a lot of loosely-relevant terms in the hopes that the overlap makes up the difference. As for their orientation, they DO like everyone "like that," but they have yet to get their first solid crush, so they still have to sort out the particulars with that, too. They've got quite a journey ahead of them, but they're happy just knowing there's a journey for them to go on.

T.K.O. is cishet, through and through. That being said, he's a staunch ally, and is of firm belief that nobody gets to decide who or what you are except for you. He is ready to go at bat for you at a moment's notice. If you stand against his friends or family, you've got him to contend with, and you probably don't want that. He's confident enough in his own identity that he doesn't really care if you get it wrong as long as you aren't malicious about it; for example, some might peg his legwarmers as the bi colors, and his answer to that is a resounding "meh." I see him getting creative with his presentation later down the line, since he doesn't feel beholden to masculinity— or even gender itself— as a concept or a construct; wearing winged eyeliner or rocking a skirt doesn't mean he isn't a guy, or that he isn't straight. I also think he'd get really fluid with his pronouns for the same reason, once he learns you're allowed to use non-gender-indicative pronouns. He/they would be his go-to in that case, but would adopt others based on his mood or current company, or let you pick some out for him. He has fun with it.

In summary: I'm a sucker for people and characters who aren't "perfect examples" of the labels they identify with. Especially seeing as I'm also not a perfect example of the labels I identify with. Characters who already know who they are is great and all, but seeing characters figuring themselves out, or using "close enough" labels, or using pronouns not typically likened towards their gender, etc, makes me super giddy happy. I want to put more characters like myself out there, and hope that they resonate with others who struggle to see themselves portrayed within common depictions of their identities as well.
