If it wasn’t for the fact that Eijun was still half asleep, then the brunet was almost POSITIVE that he would’ve agreed with absolute sarcasm laced into his words. Instead, Eijun rolled his eyes at his partner, who he’s been paired up with for just a little over two months.
“Your lap is soft, are you sure you’re a guy?” Eijun joked at his friend, his cheeky grin prominent when he sent a playful wink up alongside his taunt.
Eijun let himself chuckle for a second, only stopping to quickly roll forward and out of the way of any attempts Skinny made to hit him. His laughter grew upon realizing that he fell asleep while they were still LITERALLY out in the field. However, he was lucky that his body let him stay awake long enough that they were able to finish their objective and get somewhere safe, before he was taken on an express, one way trip to dreamland.
“You should’ve woken me up, or shoved me off. You didn’t have to let me sleep, idiot.” The sniper made sure to tease his teammate about their situation, but only to lighten the mood of where they still were and how they might still be in slight danger.

He exhales sharply when he finds his gaze on the back of someone else — he needs no face to match with a name in this case when he has a number. “I don’t see Kazuya.” Mei makes himself announced rather than discovered (he finds that personally a little more humiliating); there’s a clipped tone to his words as he briefly scans the area around him for the actual reason why he’s seemingly approaching another team so directly.
DESPITE ALL CLAIMS── eijun actually wasn’t the brainless idiot people took him for. if he actually paid attention in class &&. put forth the effort to study─ he’d EASILY pass his classes with flying colors.
eijun honestly had figured that NARUMIYA MEI was standing behind him, only to pout for no reason, but then the blond’s SUDDEN statement startled eijun. it was enough to cause the southpaw to turn around &&. come face to face with the rival pitcher. ( who had obviously stated kazuya wasn’t there AS IF to get everybody’s attention )
