So, I was left speechless by the unexpected outpour of love n affection yesterday. I had to take the time to reply to every single one (better than Christmas morning). Thanks for your calls, texts, emails, WhatsApp & Facebook messages. So many to cherish n I thank God for you all. May you be favoured by His grace forever. 2015 has been an extraordinary year, I've been led to meet amazing people, live in peace, make blessed connections n renew the bonds of friendships n family that seem lost forever. I am very grateful to God without whom I definitely wouldn't be hear n who always had a plan for how this wee girl's life would unfold. I'm grateful for His part in forming the foundation of my family: Ma & Pa, who like any other parent, are always making a huge fuss on their kids' born day. Thanks for always being extraordinary. My sisters, who are indeed always the best of me. Uncles n aunts with their awesome stories tied to an endless love that started from childhood (always a new story every year - loving my history). My best friends, who never seize to surprise me. Can't wait for a reunion. Old friends (childhood, high school, etc...), we seem to be growing in remembrance n makes knowing you even the more precious.

I truly feel we knew more of who we wanted to be when we were younger than when we grew up. When we were younger, the sky was the limit. We had more outlandish expectations of our realities and aimed so high. Somewhere during our developmental process, as we became exposed to the thoughts of others, we began to question our identity. The thoughts of our peers, adopted from the mindsets of parents who succumb to the rat race, doused our creative flame. Shrouding our judgement and making our creativity superfluous to our psyche. I hope we can all revert back to that moment of a free open mind where the world was our oyster and nothing was impossible. Do it for that little girl whose ideas for an outlandish future were entertained but never quite taken seriously. They’re sure taken us seriously now.
