Thirteen Degrees Exhibition at 44AD Gallery, Bath. 19th-23rd June.
Two of my images from my Environmental Portraits project. I went along to photograph staff and volunteers at Bath Abbey so that I could capture the diverse range of people that work there. The full set of photographs is currently on display at Bath School of Art and Design's Degree Show at Sion Hill Campus.
Some of my photos from a 1940s style vintage fashion shoot that I did during the second year of my degree. See more at: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.126888440769513.10601.126861390772218&type=3

These are some of my successful images from my second water droplet shoot. These are currently on display at BSAD Degree show at Sion Hill Campus.
One of my final year projects is capturing movement in a photograph, so I've been experimenting with water drop photography. These are some images from my home-made set ups. I don't have access to a flashgun at the moment, so I improvised with natural ambient lighting in my kitchen and the built in flash on my camera. In the first experiments, the flash creates harsh shadows on the backdrop, which I don't like at all, and the water splashes made my backdrop pretty wet which you start to see in the images.
In my second lot of experiments, I set up in a larger space, leaving more room between the water and the backdrop, which was much more successful. However, the flash did not capture the splashes as well so there is some motion blur.
My next step is to get myself a flashgun and set up properly and get some much better quality shots.
LOVE THIS!
35mm colour film photographs from the Circuit: A Light Labyrinth at the Holburne Museum in Bath.
Circuit: A Light Labyrinth at the Holburne Museum in Bath. These are just a few of my photos from the exhibition, which I went to last week. These pics were taken on my iPhone as my SLR battery had died and I forgot to charge it, and I'm actually quite pleasantly surprised at how the photos have come out. I also took a roll of film on my old Canon film camera which I will post later.
I'm going to use some of these images as part of my Motion Photography project as part of my degree.
Photos in Bath Life!!
Two of my photos from the Lynne Franks talk at the Octagon, Milsom Place have appeared in Bath Life magazine. This is an exciting moment as this is the first time my photos have been printed somewhere. Eeeek! Keep an eye out for it as its out now!
Inspired. Mixed Media Textiles Exhibition
On 31st May, I went along to the Inspired mixed media textiles exhibition at The American Museum. The exhibition is on until 10th June and showcases a range of work by Bath School of Art and Design's textiles students. There is a great selection of work on show so go along and have a look if you get the chance.

Lynne Franks, Creative Bath Talk 24/5/12
Yesterday I was helping out Ella at Creative Bath with an event at the Octagon in Milsom Place, which I was also photographing. Lynne Franks was the keynote speaker for the evening. It was a very busy day to set the venue up but it all went perfectly to plan and the evening was brilliant. The free sushi and champagne definitely made it even better! Here's a few of my photos, and the link to the complete set of photos is here:

These are my final conquerer poster designs. All of my development work can be seen in previous blog posts. I'm happy with my final designs, I think I have a good range of work.
My short video where I talk about my work placement. Excuse the fact that I sound like a posh six year old child and ignore any strange facial expressions, being on camera is NOT my forté!!
We used the software Motion to create a 3D animation of a rocket flying through space. It was a bit of a refresher for how to use Motion, and I actually really enjoyed it. It was really gratifying to see the finished article working nice and smoothly. I managed to get back into Motion quite quickly and after creating my little animation, I decided that I would watch some Motion tutorials and looks at creating my own title sequence.
