"U-Uh hello!" Eki said, a bit startled.
She smiled, her gaze locked upon the boy. “I don’t see why people wouldn’t like it here. It’s amazing.” Rose took another glance around. She didn’t understand why people hardly visited the forest. It didn’t seem that bad. “Eki-kun, would you like to go for a walk with me?”
"Sure!" he said happily. It would be nice to take a walk around since the weather was so nice, and he would defiantly feel better guiding this girl through this forest. It could be tricky navigating your way around it sometimes!
Reblog if I can Roleplay with you.
(Any of you can, really.)
“Yeah, totally.” Edward said admitting a glowing smile.
"You must of traveled a lot of different places to meet new people right?" he asked incredibly curious now. Surely this boy must have seen some interesting sights! "Have you been anywhere really exciting?"
“Oh, but there are all sorts of surprises. Would it be an Agatha Christie-like calculation that even the most observant would miss? Or perhaps something so unexpected that it’s almost magic?”
He spun on his heel and looked into the long corridor of shelves that they had found themselves in.
“This is the mystery section. Quite large, isn’t it?”
"Yeah, it is." Eki said, amazement in his voice. It was huge! There must of been hundreds of different books in just this section alone. "How did this many books wind up here?" he blurted out, still amazing by the sheer amount of all these mystery novels.
“Ah, I see! That was a very good decision, then. This place is absolutely beautiful.” Rose took quick glances at her surroundings. The forest was truly amazing. “Don’t worry, I understand.” She gave a slight smile to the boy.
"Yeah," Eki said, his voice trailing off a bit as he admired him home. It was a shame that people were a bit afraid to travel here because of all the animals. It really was a beautiful forest! "I'm glad someone appreciates this place as much as I do."
She nodded in a way that seemed like understanding. Crowded or loud places were never her thing. If there was too much going on, or too much to stimulate her senses, she would snap. Well, Kirra of course had her reasons for wanting to be alone just as she was sure he did. “Yeah…” She mumbled quietly to herself. “That sounds really enjoyable.” Kirra herself still lived in the city for god knows what reason, maybe simply because that’s where she’s been her whole life, and because she wasn’t the one paying for her living arrangements. However, she tried to avoid leaving her apartment whenever possible.
Kirra’s eyes wandered, taking in her surroundings with a hint of awe and naivety. She could admit, she was slightly envious. A small smile settled onto her lips as she opened her mouth to speak again. Surprisingly, her voice carried a tone of warmth to it as opposed to it’s usual cold tone. “No wonder my senses drew me in this direction.”
Eki gave the girl a smile in return and took a glance around himself. "It almost seems kind of magical, far away from society and untouched for so long," he said softly, admiring the incredibly tall trees as their leaves rustled with the wind. If you were quiet enough you could head the sounds of life all around the forest, from the rustling of bushes to the soft melody the birds were singing. Sure, sometimes Eki missed being in contact with humanity, but being out here defiantly made it worth while. There was always something new to explore, new animals were born every spring, and he got to see the most astounding views when he climbed the trees. "A lot of people do happen to wander in this forest. You're indefinably not the first to be drawn in by it." He said. "Though many don't make it as far as you do! There are bears and wolves that usually drive people out before they make it, so I have to admit I'm a bit impressed you managed to dodge them."
- Running away from your problems, huh…? - Her gaze was now on the floor as she repeated his words softly. Without even noticing, a rather sad smile was formed on her lips. Maybe if it had been another situation, Rias would be scolding him with a smile. Yet, she couldn’t — she had no right to. The female was indeed traveling around for her own sake, to research and learn a lot more on things that she was interested into. And at the same time, the maiden was running away from the things she had the obligation to face.
Now looking back at him as her smile was a normal one now, the devil tilted her head slightly. - If you’re trying to change, then nobody can tell you anything bad about it. I’m sure you had your reasons to do so. - Blinking a few times as she let out a little laughter, she knew she was being an hypocrite for saying these words to the male. After all, Rias thought she was the worst for being running away of her problems and yet, she was giving him words of comfort, because she really believed that he shouldn’t be blamed for running away. Raising her index finger to her cheek as she pouted, the crimson haired woman continued. - I wonder how it is like to live in a forest, though.
"Oh it's really interesting! A little scary at first because there are so many dangerous animals deep in the forest where I live, but after awhile you become more comfortable with them." Eki said happily. Many wolves, bear and smaller animals tended to hang around his house, making other weary of traveling near it. Still, he really enjoyed their company since it was so quiet in the forest. "I just live off the land there. Make what I need from wood and whatever else I can find and even have my own little garden for when I want to make a meal. Sometimes it's a bit difficult and you miss small things but it really is nice. Makes you realize that humanity and society have really thrown away their connection with nature in favor or luxury and technology." He shook his head while in thought. "Sometimes I wish I could show others what they're really missing out on!"
He nodded and, once again, looked at him curiously. “How do you create all those diseases? You sure have a lot of imagination, don’t you?”
Eki's expression went a bit grim at the question but he nodded. "Most were mine, but some were done by um.. request. They all take time to think through though seeing as humans are developing vaccines and tolerances to some diseases."
"What in the world.. A-are you alright Tumblr?"
At first, her smile was still in her lips as she quietly nodded at his words. However, as soon as she heard his last sentence, a frown was formed in her features. Why exactly would he be isolated? Pouting as concern was now visible in her expression, Rias couldn’t avoid to ask. - Isolated…? Why would you be isolated from humanity? - Now switching her gaze to her own feet, her voice was a lot more softer. - It seems a little…sad.
"It's not sad, I did it by choice!" he explained quickly, feeling a bit of guilt as the girl looked rather sad. "Besides, it's not so bad. It's much quieter out in the forest and there's plenty to do!" His expression softened a lot as he went deeper into thought about it. "But I really have only myself to blame for now living out there. I was just running away from my problems and not really owning up to them. I'm changing that though! I'm trying to interact with this world more and not just run and hide!"
“Honestly, I only believed in one God until I knew you were one and that there are lots of more around, too.”
"Oh you mean Him right? The one with the new religion," Eki said, tapping his chin. "I've met him once! A bit of an eccentric one but a nice guy!"
Koco's face softened at Eki's statement. "Aw.~ I'm sorry I confused you!" She began tapping her foot, looking up at the sky. "Well, in a nutshell; my Father records whoever helps his kingdom prosper." She looked back at Eki. "Does that help at all?" She asked, leaning forward.
"Prosper huh?" he asked, his expression forming into a deeper frown. So, he helped this girls farther prosper? That meant he couldn't only benefit from people dying or suffering.. "Yeah, it does." He was a bit more hesitant talking to the girl now, looking down at the ground.
“Geez, you seem like the shy type.” Edward said hiding a small laughing in his voice. “Oh, that’s simple I’m just here to meet new people is all.”
“I forgot, I’m Ed nice to meet you.”
"Sorry!" The boy said, apologizing again looking a bit worried. He didn't mean to be so shy, he was still just a bit nervous about talking to people. "Ah really?" Eki asked, a look of excitement replacing his worried look. "Well then it seems we're in the same boat then Edward. My name is Eki and it's really nice to meet you too!"
